Riley, the worst

I hated Riley especially since Angel had left. I hated Buffy because she liked Riley. He wasn't even all that attractive. How many of you like Riley?
 
That just what I was like when Riley was on the show he was sooo annoying..I tried to like him but it didnt work! he was just a rebound for Buffy...he was just useless...Im so glad they got rid of him 😀

I know that noone should have taken Angel's place but he was good! And, I'm sorry but i found him attractive! 🙂
I especially thought he was funny in the ep where Angel came to Sunnydale and they had a fight!
Angel was always gonna win that one but i thought Riley was cute when they both got told off by Buffy! 🙄
 
I remember absoloutely hating Riley while Season 4 was airing, and I hated him more in Season 5, I think I actually did a dance in 'Into the Woods' at the end lol!
But, watching back season 4 and 5, Riley was actually a nice guy, I think he was funny. And to be honest, I felt sorry for the guy becuase Buffy did shut him out. And I feel more sorry for Marc Blucas, becuase he's not exactly popular in the Buffyverse.
I loved when he fought Angel and said 'I surely do' that was great!
 
"The Yoko Factor" was a great ep!

I didn't like Riley in S5 because he wouldn't talk to Buffy about feeling left out of her life. He was just feeling sorry for himself and doing stuff with vamps. Very annoying. I don't have anything against Marc Blucas, though.

Riley and Buffy were less exciting than the Buffy/Angel relationship. I still see Riley as Buffy's rebound guy.

BTW, the Male Slayer, what happened to your ode to Harmony?
 
Yeah i hate when the supernatural women rebound with the mortals. lol i also did a dance when Riley left, but felt bad and relieved for Buffy.
 
Alot of peeps hate Riley, but I am not one of them. I happen to like the guy! I liked ow he went out in S5.

I totally agree with ya elmo, on all your points. I really like Riley. I have not yet seen the part where Buffy tells the two off. I can't wait though.
 
I liked that part! It was sooo cool. A *simple* girl stands in the middle of two big guys and with only one hand for each she makes them almost fall off!
It's so much fun.


As for hating Riley. I don't hate him, I just think Spike's better than him.
And about Angel, i think he's in the same level for me as Riley is!

He may not have been cute to you but to Buffy he may have been, every body has different taste and he the type of normal boyfriend Buffy was looking for after Angel left.
 
I finally watched the epp where Riley and Angel fight. I thought it was really entertaining. We all know Angel is sooo in love with Buffy and he is finally faced with the reality that she is with someone else physically and mentally.... and he hated it. I luv how protective he was over her and how he kept Riley guessing! I feel bad for Riley, because I really like the guy and feel he is a good choice for her...but Angel always is going to be at the top in my books. I think that Buffy comforted him pretty well after Angel left, and that made up for Angel beating the crap outta him...
 
You know how Buffy kissed Angel when she sent Spike mixed signals in "Chosen?" Do you think she would still have kissed Angel if Riley was still there during "Forever?"
 
Marc Blucas is okay, he's a good actor, just bad part 😉 i liked riley to begin with he was okay in the begining, he did things that was noble(like sticking up for buffy!) and i did like that he didn't like her in the begining... but then he just becomes this char that seems so , well not needed in some ways, like they just had him there just to have someone... if you get my drift.

i haven't seen all of s5, so i've only seen bits and pieces and eppys her and there...
 
When Riley left in Into the Woods, I was like "okay, whatever". I didn't really care. Season 5 was better without him.

I have not started on S5 yet. I suppose I could very well change my opinion of him once I finish the epps...I'll let you know polexia!🙂 🙂
 
I think that Riley was perfectly summed up by both Buffy and Xander as an oaf (but a nice one) and tutonic in "The Initiative" (4.7).

Even though i wasn't the biggest Riley fan, i did shed a tear or two in "Into the Woods", not so much because Riley was leaving as for poor downtrodden Buffy.

I liked Riley. He was no Angel but he was not a bad guy. He was what Buffy needed after such an intense relationship with Angel. Don't get me wrong NO ONE can replace Angel but Riley was definately one of the good guys.......until that season 5 vamp biting instance(s). But again it was perfect, he felt he couldn't express his feelings to Buffy as she never expressed her feelings to him.

I thought it was great we got to see him again in 'As You Were' kinda gave the whole Riley thing closure.
 
I think poor old Riley suffered a lot in season 5 particularly. In S4 he had something to do - and was a fairly indispensible part of the story arc - the link between the initiative and the scoobs.

But in season 5 he just doesn't really have anything to do, apart from being Buffy's love interest.
