Kindred: I hear what you are saying about Riley being an oaf, but I like oafs. I think that was part of his charm. I'm anxious to start on S5-knowing me I'll probably cry on the epp you are referring too!
 
I didn't mind Riley in season 4 but he was just anoying in season 5 i was glad when he went! It just didn't need him to be there anymore Spike was coming back into the picture more than Riley. Also I love the fact they brought him nback in season 6 with a wife, just to show that he wasn't gong to be there fir buffy anymore, brilliant!

Also I agree:
I just got tired of seeing Riley as the corn-fed good boy from Iowa. Maybe I love Angel and Spike 'cause they're so dark and handsome!

Riley was to normal for his own good, give me the bad boys anyday!
 
I didn't like Riley at first, not in s4 or in s5, but I came to respect him in s6.

i hate him too...i remember buffy started dating him a few days after IWRY,that's why i hate him,he was in angel's place....angel's buffy's true love,...riley is stupid... and fat.hate him too much
 
I hated Riley, right down to his stupid hair-cut ( it got better in s.5 )! How could Buffy forget about Angel like that! If she had remembered what she did in L.A., she wouldn't have gone w/ Riley.

i liked riley but the more i think about him the less i like him ya know?
 
Yea he was eye-candy, but i don't think that Riley was a great character. He was just buffy's boy toy for s4. The character didn't have much depth and you had to have seen that their relationship would be a short one since the beginning because they never really got to much into riley(I don't htink so anyway)
 
When I first watched season 4, I really didn't like Riley, but watching the episodes now, I feel really sorry for him. I think he was a good character.
 
until i started going on websites i pretty much loved riley the same as any other bloke on the show (excepting maybe xander, spike and angel). then i heard what all you guys thought about him and i guess that changed my mind- i've gone off him now.

I didn't like him when he came back in s6 cos he was all stone-faced, hard and married of all things!
 
I did not like Riley at all. It did the whole "I guess I have to be dead for you to love me" thing to death. Get over it already.
