Riley

He's still no Angel though 😛 Nor is Spike,

Silly silly Flannen....😛

Anyhoo i liked Riley, Originally yeah he bugged me, but when i rewatched it i began to sympathise with him. He just kept trying to connect with Buffy, and be the best he could for her. But Buffy pushed him away, and he tried to be dark for her...which let's face it..didn't really work for him...but i'd never say i hated him..

Still better than Angel in my opinion 😛 Take that Flanny Face!! hehehe

You are SO close to getting negative karma :p
Riley was just to tight about who was bad and who was good for my tastes. For instance when he was trying to hurt Oz and brought him to the Initiative that pissed me off. He was always monsters=evil and humans=good when we all know that isn't true. There is the werewolf Oz, the ex demon Anya, the vampire Angel, Clem where all examples of good "monsters". The Initiative is a perfect example "humans" that where bad and he couldn't see that and that annoyed me. Having said that, I think that was kind of the point of his character so I respect him for that. I didn't really care for Riley or Angel as Buffy's boyfriends or as characters really.

Personally, I think Spike was the perfect man for Buffy. They learned so much from each other. They both served as guides to each other. Spike was guiding Buffy through her the darkness that was in her. Buffy was leading him through the light that was in him. They had a connection that the other two couplings just didn't share. Spike got his soul back because of her. The soul allowed him to embrace the light at the end of the series. If it wasn't for Spike showing her the darkness that she had in her, she would never have been able to accept it and even embrace it at the end of the series. They were just perfect and I felt there was real feeling when Buffy told Spike at the end that she loved him.
