Riley's Groupies

Graham and Forrest? Hmm. Honestly, they never held much interest for me. I thought it was interesting how they related to Riley, that was about it. And how they reacted to Buffy.

I always thought Graham was right, though, when he told Riley and he belonged with them, with his purpose, and as the slayers boyfriend. Or was that Forrest that said that? Let's face it. Ruffy wasn't really a match made in heaven. They had some good chemistry, and he was her type (she likes those beefy guys) but it wouldn't have worked for much longer. He was living her life, not his. I was sad when he left, but I knew it was for the better. Riley loved her more then he should have. He was willing to give up everything for her, and she just wouldn't let him in.

Buffy needs a man whom is on her level, or maybe a little stronger than her. She wants to be the girl in the relationship. This is why she was so attracted to Spike - because he was a challenging match for her physically.

Forrest and Graham were good for creating conflict between Buffy and Riley. That's about it.

The only character in S4 I hated more than Riley (if that's even possible?) was Forrest. God. He was like, Xander minus Xander's redeeming qualities. All hate Buffy, all the time. I wanted to smack him. Or, I wanted Riley to smack him, but of course Riley was too busy making ridiculously laughable and empty threats and clenching his fists a lot. Ah, but that's not the topic at hand.

Graham, I liked. He was cute, and funny, and mostly quiet but he seemed to be on Riley's side. And at least when he teased Riley about Buffy, it was just that: teasing. Not some passive-aggressive-jealousy binge.

I loved Graham. I liked Forrest until he turned into a jerk. I have a feeling Forrest would have hated anyone Riley or Graham dated unless she was a complete airhead who never made any demands or thought for herself. In other words, Forrest was kind of a chauvanist.

Which is what made Forrest rather interesting to me. He represented the type of mentality that Riley was in danger of succumbing to.

I loved Graham in every episode he's been in. I liked Forrest at first but then he turned into a bit of jerk so...

I agree with forrest's jerkiness, and i tohught Graham was sweet. Haven't seen this season in a while, though. I loved the line (forrest) "That girl's so hot, she's buffy". that was pretty funny, So in conclusion I think they were good for the character of Riley, because, quite frankly, he has to have friends, and they were amusing.

You all know who I'm talking about, Graham & Forrest. I was just wondering what everyone's thought's were on them.

I actually thought they were both humerous and enjoyable for the time they were recurring characters, not to mention they always made fun of Riley, but I have to consider the fact that they really were just fillers for a season of filler episodes and characters.

Your thoughts? Go!

A season of filler episodes and characters? I can't answer your question, because I don't agree with your assessment of Season 4.
