Ring of Darkness is a movie released by Mosaic Entertainment that I've been waiting for for over a year! It starrs Ryan Starr and a bunch of other people who I don't care about. I'm a big Ryan Starr fan! She finished in 7th place during Season One of American Idol. She was in three episodes of What I Like About You. She was in one episode of CSI. She's been in countless magazines. She was just in Stuff Magazine, but I can't post the picture because it's...well...inappropriet. She's considered one of the 15 hottest ladies on reality tv. She has her own clothing line and she models for other companies. She's a surfer and plays the guitar. She's currently working on her own CD. For you people who don't like American Idol, you don't have to hate her. She purposely sabatagued herself so she'd get kicked off the show because she wanted to be a punk rocker but they wanted her to be a pop princess. She's described her CD as being ACDC meets Evanescence, minus the goth. Anyway, the movie is about a boy band. One of the members is found bloodies and dead, so the band must get a replacement. Stacey (played by Ryan Starr) thinks her boyfriend could fit the band. It turns out that the boy band members are realy soul sucking demons. They killed their last member for his soul and as long as they do that, they can live forever. Now, the three finalists are on an island with the boy band and it's kinda like a competition to see who makes the band. Stacey finds out about the soul sucking boy band members, grabs her crossbow and heads out to save her boyfriend! The movie trailer can be viewed here. It seems cool to me. The movie comes out on June 28th.

Now, I know that there are some great movie experts on this website. I know KansasSlayer is making a movie of her own. Faldor made a great movie, Flower. Old Master and Mr. Pointy always mave movie threads. So, what do you guys honestly think about the movie? You think I'm getting my hopes up?

The story sounds good - demonic boy band sucks the soul of human members and then holds reality show contest to find more victims - you've gotta love that concept🙂 (can we find some soul-sucking demons to take on boy bands and reality show contestants in real life...😛). But the old Hollywood formula factory has a habit of sucking the soul out of a good story...

I doubt we'll see this one for a while in the UK but I'll have a look at the trailer - hoping for a smart, well-filmed, well-plotted genre movie. I won't bet my life savings on that though 🙂

It sounds like you'll enjoy it anyway Hero as you're obviously a fan of this lady (never heard of her myself - sorry, we Brits can be so parochial😉) but she is quite a way down the cast list so I hope you aren't too disappointed if she's not on screen for long...
 
Yeah. The link you posted is about the movie. I know that she isn't going to be a main character or anything. It said that she's a supporting actress. I think the oly reason she's the main person on the cover is because people will see someone from a show that caught the eyes of millions and wanna buy it. I know she plays Shawn's girlfriend and in an interview she said "I kill the killers...or try..." So she has some role in the movie which will make me a happy camper. The movie was only showed once on television a year ago. It's being released to DVD and VHS in ten days.

Sadly, I lost the phone number for the life sucking demons and BSB and Nsync will have to live another day 🙁

Dammit! I'll have to find some other way of getting the current crop of Big Brother cretins out of my telly 🙂
 
If you don't like the fifth season then I think it spells disaster when it airs here. It starts airing here in July.

AH! I CAN WIN A SIGNED COPY OF THE DVD! THE QUESTION IS: WHERE WAS BAYWATCH FILMED? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE BAYWATCH WAS FILMED?!
 
When we were in San Diego we were told it was filmed there but I'm sure I remember the show being in LA 😕 - I'd Google the Baywatch sites Mike to check for certain if you want that dvd...
 
I don't know which one to choose. They said 25% of the episodes were filmed in Venice Beach. Then it said something about Hawaii for a movie. And other episodes were filmed in Ocean Walk Front. Which one do I choose? Curse these people...curse them..
