It's funny because I felt that was one of the strengths for Ringer. Television today is dominated by procedural or reality shows, which I find incredibly boring because the characters are weak, go through no development (or very little) and there are a lot of stand-alone episodes. Shows like Ringer were one of the few on television today that had a serialized narrative, and I feel those shows are the best kind of TV because they allow more emotional investment and demand there be a story that moves.

I applaud The CW for bringing in serialized shows and I hope they continue doing it

I agree, its good to have shows like that were there's a development throughout each episode. I have to admit that I dont mind stand alone shows like CSI and Bones. I just think shows like Ringer, if you havent watched it from the first episode are very hard to get into. I had the same problem with the TV show Heroes. I tried to start watching it half way through the series and just couldnt figure out what was going on 🙂
 
I wasn't a fan of the show, even if I didn't disliked it, but I'm sad for Sarah that it got cancelled. I hope she will find something else...
 
I think I'm In the minority that actually loved this show. It's been years since I've watched new tv shows while they're on tv, I usually wait for the DVD now. Anyway I started watching the show probably because Sarah was in it and I was intrigued.

I'm sad it's cancelled, but halfway through the season I knew it probably wouldn't get a new season. I mean how could it? Realistically they had nowhere else to go with the story. I'm annoyed with how it was left though 🙁

Kinda sad about The Secret Circle being cancelled too, luckily I've still gotva few episodes to catch up on so it's not over for me just yet.
 
Cant say I am surprised, nor upset. I didnt like it. I have a few friends that do though, so they will be sad for the news. I didnt find SMG to be that fantastic in the eps I did see, which is a shame.
 
No surprise as been said and I won't miss it even if it had some interesting moments. Too much of a soap for my liking.

The cancelation that bugs me the most is The Finder. Not a need to watch show but I really enjoyed it. One of my "easy to watch" shows.

Fringe and Community renewed. Not a full season but still. Better than leaving it as it ended now. Dan Harmon seems to be off Community so who knows what'll happen with it.
 
I didn't watch it in fear of getting into it and it getting cancelled but now that it has been, I'll pick up the DVD whenever that releases.

GG is finally ending? Maybe I'll try to watch it again after it ends. I'd miss an episode every now and then and just got way too confused trying to keep up with everything that was going on. Then I just stopped caring somewhere near the start of S4. Of course though I'll read spoilers after the last episode and if it doesn't end with Blair/Chuck, I won't bother with it. 😉
 
Ringer being cancelled didn't surprise me at all, it got too ridiculous by the end of the season. I was more surprised that The Secret Circle got cancelled.
 
i only just found out about this lol to be honest im not surprised. it wasn't as good as some people expected and i feel it lacked potential. i feel bad for sarah though, it was nice seeing her back on t.v. she prob wont work for a while now since she has a baby on the way.
 
I love Sarah coming back to TV as she hidden from TV for ages, however I thought the show was so flat line, the locations, style, etc were just plain. I thought it was going to be better but I was wrong, near the end I did think oh this going somewhere but nope it just died :/ so sorry for Sarah I hope she can come back to TV but now she's got another child on the way I think it be unlikey 🙁
 
I am not suprised, I watched the first three episodes and it was naff
