Ringer picked up by the CW

Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to primetime as her CBS pilot Ringer is being picked up to series. But in a surprising twist, the series is going to CBS' sibling CW. With its serialized nature and young skew, Ringer is probably better suited for the CW. It brings back Gellar to the network that replaced the WB and UPN, the two weblets which aired her breakout series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It also gives CW a major star that has huge following in the network's 18-34 demographic. The acquisition marks a pretty inventive first programming move by new CW president Mark Pedowitz, who was brought in to shake things up at the network. Ringer, from ABC Studios and CBS TV Studios, centers on Bridget (Gellar), a troubled young woman on the run from the mob who hides out by inhabiting the life of her wealthy twin sister, Siobhan, until she learns that her twin's life has a bounty on it as well. Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder wrote the pilot, which Richard Shepard directed. With the pickup of Ringer and the imminent order for Secret Circle, it is unclear if the chances of the other frontrunner, Hart of Dixie

I did not realize she was played both parts, her and her sister, thats going to be interesting.

I am happy about this and hearing Secret circle has a shot because I love Thomas and Brit.
I am excited for her Nikita seems to be doing amazing so hers should do well hopefully.
 
I'm excited it's being picked up, although I can't think of anything I currently watch on the CW. I hope it'll be interesting enough to me (who's now out of that age bracket LOL).
 
Oh good, this sounds like it could be a great TV show. I look forward to watching it when it comes out.

After two of my shows V and No Ordinary Family were canceled today Ringer should be able to fill the void.
 
This is too good to be true, except it is.

I've missed her!! 😀 She's my favorite.
 
Yayaya! I can't wait for it! I hope it's not a flop or anything....that would suck. But it sounds interesting enough. Hope it does well! And yay for Sarah back on TV!
 
This show makes me nervous. I'm not too convinced that it's going to be a great show from what I've read about it so far. It's just not that convincingly awesome sounding IMO.

I'm so glad she's coming back though and pray it's not going to let me or anyone else down!! I can't wait to watch this!

I think you may actually like some of the shows. Supernatural, The vampire Diaries and Nikita seem to be real crowd pleaser's among all ages. I would have said smallville but that just ended lol.

The CW is going to look massively different in a few years compared to now. Seriously, I haven't heard of any pilots about spoiled, rich white teens.

I'm really excited to see her play twins too. She has such a range I know she's going to be brilliant at it! 🙂
