I was wondering everyone's thoughts on Ringer starring Sarah. If anyone watched it, what did you think of it? AND were you as devastated as I was when is wasn't picked up for a second season?

I personally thought it was a really good show. But then I was thinking that I could very much so be biased because I love Sarah so much. It got really bad ratings and a lott of negative comments.

But whatever. I thought is a good show.

So my question is. What are your thoughts on it?
 
I liked it a lot, I was sad to see it go too .. & it didn't get that much bad comments, actually it got very good reviews (for the guilty pleasure genre but still), & it only got bad ratings cause the stories were very hard to follow & people just couldn't keep up which is a shame, it got really good by the end ..

However Sarah was horrible in it, all my friends who watched Ringer (& almost all of them did cause I insisted on it lol) told me "This is the Buffy you keep talking about? She can't act!" & they weren't wrong, that was some very lazy acting from Sarah, it's like she poured everything into Buffy & now she's left with nothing ..
 
I agree. I didn't think she was THAT bad, but it definitely wasn't as strong as Buffy. I don't think she could ever beat that. And I don't think she wanted to. She knows she can't beat something as amazing as that.
 
I'm not surprised it didn't last long. I wasn't a huge fan of the writing or the acting for the most part. I watched it because I got sucked in. I wanted to find out what was going to happen. If it was still on, I'd watch it, so yeah I'm kind of sad that it's gone but...it was really just a guilty pleasure.
 
I found I got more into it as the season went on. I watched the pilot and wasn't impressed, but I decided to keep watching for a few more weeks just because it's SMG, and I grew to like it. I really liked Ion Grunfield, but beyond him and Sarah, it wasn't amazing or anything. But still, like others have said, it was a guilty pleasure kind of show.

I stopped watching it once it went on break, and kind of forgot about it. So when it picked back up again I was a few episodes behind. I'll probably get the DVD though.
 
I tried to get into it because I really wanted to see SMG on tv every week again but I just couldn't get hooked. The overall story line had potential but something in the execution was lacking. To be honest, I was more sad for Sarah than the loss of the show; it would be great to see her in something really successful outside of BTVS.

I noticed they just added the season to Netflix recently, so I may go back and give it another shot.

SMG was good in it, but the show itself was lacking. I tried really hard to like it, but I gave up around the fifteenth episode. 🙁

I hope that, in a couple years, she'll be lucky enough to find a better show and amaze us again. 🙂

I liked the show, but not enough to buy it. It sarted to air in French last month and I wanted to watch it with my mom, but she didn't like it much (she watched for the same reason I did; because of Sarah) and I kinda felt bored to watch it again. I won't buy the DVD. It was nice to see Sarah on-screen again, though.

Oh and I don't like Kristopher Polaha much anyways...

I agree; I thought the show had a lot of potential, and I wanted to like it because of Sarah, but I just couldn't get into it. I watched maybe 4 episodes before deciding it wasn't for me.
 
I watched it out of loyalty to seeing SMG back on the small screen but I made myself watch. I didn't like it very much and wasn't surprised that it was cancelled. I wasn't impressed with Sarah's acting either: she seemed to have 2 expressions. Maybe she did the best she could with the writing and I'll miss seeing her on TV, but no, I'm not grieving.

but yet they can keep up with what happened last week on Jersey Shore

Nah, I find a lot of other male leads in TV shows a lot hotter than him (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Aaron Ashmore, Ian Somerhalder, Steven McQueen, Matthew Morrison, etc.) He doesn't even begin to compare to the men named above.
 
I watched it all but if it wasn't for Sarah I'd stopped watching way before. I've said it a lot, it felt like a soap. Not your average soap of course but still a soap. I'm not a least bit surprised that it got cancelled and I'm not missing it at all.
 
I'm also bummed that it was cancelled. I loved it & it had so much potential. I hope Sarah will try doing one more show & hopefully it will be amazing.
