I'm sad it's already over. It's been a good Olympics (at least for USA. lol 😛). There's been a lot of big stuff going on. It's been a good watch. I hope the closing ceremony is better than the opening.

Yeah still don't see what you're problem with that was?😱 It wasn't as good as London's but then that was always going to be an impossible task. I liked it.

The closing one is really leaving me cold so far. Very cheesy.

It was fitting that Brazil got the Gold in the Football to close out the games. Not least since it was against the Germany's who beat them 7-1 in the World Cup two years ago.

That was the closing ceremony not the opening. Didn't bother with the closing one. It sounded shit and probably was.

As for last night I wached a bit but quickly got bored. They did go for that whole party type vibe which might be fine if you are there, but when you're not you lose the sense of atmosphere and it just came off as looney people on happy pills🙂

I liked the closing ceremony. Better than the opening. Also I liked the singers they had perform. No Spice Girls, but they were really good. Plus it's shorter than the opening ceremony, so it didn't feel like it dragged on too long. Next time we're going to Tokyo! It's the time they will have hosted the Olympics, the first was in 1964. I've been reading up history on the modern Olympics, it's pretty interesting stuff.

Are you saying you like this closing ceremony better than the opening or London's? I thought it was about the same length as the opening. Besides one or two things I weren't keen on I thought they did a good job with the opening ceremony.

Better than the opening. Well commercials are a factor but here the opening stated at 7:30 and didn't end till midnight. The parade of nations was like 2 hours long. The closing was only about two and a half hours. Or at least what they showed me last night.
