Kirk Douglas, the son of a ragman who channeled a deep, personal anger through a chiseled jaw and steely blue eyes to forge one of the most indelible and indefatigable careers in Hollywood history, died Wednesday. He was 103.

What a fantastic life and movie career he had. A true icon in every sense of the word. RIP.
 
Honestly, I thought that he died years ago. I read his autobiography, "The Rag Man's Son," years ago. For some reason, I always think of him in his role of the gunfighter in "The War Wagon," mainly because he never mounted his horse the same way twice.
 
RIP Kirk Douglas, 103 is a long time and a film legend. I mostly know him for the Disney 20,000 leagues under the sea.
 
I don't know if I've ever forgiven them for this (below). This is what gave me a real appreciation of the term "earworm". I've had it since I learned of his death so I'm spreading the pain. 😄

Watching it right now. I love the song "whale of a tale". It's a lot of fun, nice adventure film. I love Disney Plus! So much good stuff to discover.
 
I've watched one movie of his, "Young Man with a Horn", all three main cast members from that movie died within the last 6 years.
