The ex Japaneze Prime Minister was shot by a lone gunman with a homemade gun that was extremely hard to reload, though it was the second shot that did the damage.

That was shocking! Especially for something like that to happen in Japan. Flags in the US are flying half-staff in his honor today.

As I recall from many years ago, a Japanese Prime Minister was knifed to death at the podium when he was delivering a speech. There have been a number of terrorist groups in Japan's past including the sarin attack on a Tokyo subway in 1995 by Aum Shinrikyo.
