earlier this year it was released that giles would release a spinnoff

it has benn made and contains 11 episodes (1 boxset) the release date maybe soon, but sources tell me they are thinking of extending the series.

I highly doubt that you info is correct. We would have heard about the production of Ripper. They shot 11 episodes already? When? In 1976?

Is this the BBC series that ASH did? Something like "Manchild"? Last I heard of "Ripper" was that it wasn't going to happen as a series but a TV movie was possible...development hell, methinks.
