Welcome to the Ripper guide at TV Tome.

This spin-off series from Buffy the Vampire Slayer will follow Rupert Giles, formerly Buffy Summers' Watcher, as returns to his native England to find a course for his life in working with the Councel of Watchers in their quests to protect the world from evil.

This series is expected to air in September on the BBC (in the UK) and will air on UPN (in the US) shortly afterward (possible directly after its first run in the UK).

Now that a time period for air dates has been sorted it is expected that Ripper will start shooting, in Bath, at the beginning of August.


Yay. Ripper to star in September. Yay. OH also episodes will all be 60 mins long and the first series will have just six episodes.
 
And if the BBC release the vids or DVDs we could see them literally weeks after the run ends... BBC are normally very good with DVD releases when it comes to popular shows 😛 YAY!!!!
 
I am amazed at how quick this now seems to be moving as it seems like we have had to wait for ages for any developments. September sounds good to me!
 
Alright!😛 It's good to hear that it's coming to the UPN. Only six episodes at first?!?🙁 Well, it's better than nothing.🙂

Yay! I'm happy that it'll be coming to UPN. that's really good news because I had heard that it might not be coming to the US at all ^_^ *jumps up and down* 😀
 
I'm thinking the UK Buffy episode could be an opening ep to link up to Ripper and might not actually be apart of Season seven at all 😀 wouldn't that be soooo incredibally cool hehe

lol....Five your doing alot of dieing lately...emma cauffield glanced at me id die...and now what you just said...geez how many lifes do you have???? lol just kidding around...too much sugar if you know what i mean....ahh anyway...that would be cool if buffy opened up for the ripper.....i cant wait to see it
 
Oh, I die at a lot of things. Mostly just the major things that matter to me seem to kill me the most. I think I'm well over a million deaths.🙄

Don't worry. I'm sure Canada will get it sometime, which is better than not getting it at all.🙂
 
Good point...lol...well probably get it the same time you do...i usually watch everything buffy and angel on american channels so i guess when you do i do...heh heh...
 
Whee! Yay! It'll be on UPN. Although I get BBC as well, due to satellite. But I'm not sure if it'll actually be on that BBC channel . . . .hmmmm . . .
 
I don't know...Ripper sounds a little weird to me! It is not going to be as good as Buffy I can tell you that. Oh well, the people in the UK will have to tell us if it is good or not, if it doesn't come here to UPN.

Giles is hardly going to be on Buffy next season. He'll be in a few episodes, but other than that we don't know yet.
