I'm almost afraid to poast this in fear of the wrath of Buffy and Faith but I just saw this on yahoo.

Saturday teatime drama Robin Hood has been axed, the BBC has said.

The show, which averaged between four and five million viewers during its third and final series, pulled in about 1.7 million viewers for its final show, the BBC said.

It suffered the slump after being moved to BBC2 from its normal slot on BBC1 to make way for live coverage of Andy Murray at Wimbledon.

A BBC spokesman said: "Viewers have enjoyed three fantastic series of Robin Hood but with the death of Robin in last week's finale, we feel that the show has reached its natural conclusion."

I didn't enjoy this season as much as before - in fact i've not even seen the finale yet, but I knew he was going to be killed. I always did prefer Guy 😉

Fortunately, I have never seen nor heard of this show.

Did Robin Hood die in the Disney version? I think not.

The only time that I ever remember Robin Hood dying was in the movie "Robin and Marian" with Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn. Great movie if you've never seen it.
I actually caught a few episodes (which is a big deal because I cant stand most british shows). It's very addicting. I'll have to see about getting some DVDs maybe?

That's a shame...I enjoyed the show and expected at least one more season with
Robin's half-brother Archer as the new 'Robin Hood'
I thought the last few eps of this season were a real return to form after a lacklustre start...if the old forum was still alive I would've been posting up a storm 🙂

That completely SUCKS! I have nothing to watch on TV anymore until Doctor Who comes back with the next special, and even then when David Tennant leaves I'm not sure I'll even want to watch it anymore! Stupid BBC destroying EVERYTHING!

Grrr, I really liked this show! Sure it was cheesy and whatnot, but it was fun! *sigh* Bet they would have kept it if it was CSI: Nottingham or something.

lmao! That would be a brilliant show!
Bet they would have kept it if it was CSI: Nottingham or something.
To paraphrase PC Andy from the first ep of Torchwood -
"CSI Nottingham, I'd like to see that, they'd be measuring the velocity of a kebab." - unless Nottingham has changed dramatically since I regularly visited the city 🙂

Oh come, on, you can't take the Cardiff out of that quote! 😛

To be fair it could apply equally to many of our fair towns and cities on a Friday or Saturday night after the pubs and clubs kick out...and I did say I was paraphrasing...
