What's the scene for you (in any Whedonverse show) that's just rock'n'roll and shows the character to be a badass?

Buffy killing ALL the vampires in Into the Woods.

"His name's Angel".

River tearing up the bar and then later systematically dismantling the Reavers in Serenity.

Wow people have suggested some awesome moments already.

Love the part when Buffy catches the sword Angelus is about to use on her and pounds him in the face with the hilt. I mean, I love Angel, but that's just cool.

Actually I always kinda cheer in Chosen, when the ubervamps run up that ledge to where the heroes are all standing. Spike catches one of them out of the air and takes it down, which I find to be spectacularly awesome.

I may think of more later . . .

Angel leaning against the car, dropping his cigarette and the flame travelling along the oil trail to set Darla and Dru on fire, and then just walking slowly away.

Angelus feeding off the smoking woman than then exhaling the cigarette smoke.

Gunn, walking into Wolfram and Hart, "OW! Did you just step on my foot?!"

-Giles punching out Ethan Rayne
-Riley cutting his chip out
-Spike's "Out for a walk..." Love that he keeps his attitude going even though he's fixed! I just cheer and laugh at that scene every time
-Angel and Buffy's sword fight in Becoming. Epic.

Giles knocking out the Bringer and Spike in the car in Lover's Walk with 'My Way' on in the background, think that was the moment that made me love him.

The "Rock 'n' Roll" moment I reference is literally a Rock 'n' Roll moment. I had always admired the character of Giles, but his dream sequence in "Restless" cemented his coolness for me for all time......

Also wanted to add a few Firefly ones as there's plenty to choose from:

- When Mal and the crew have the shoot off with the old lady
- Pretty much every time Mal goes to walk away and then shoots the guy anyway
- When Mal nearly ejects Jayne from the hanger

I think xander's "I like the quiet" in the zeppo is definitely one.

The one moment that made me literally go "YES!!!" and literally turn to my sister and go "That was so freakin' BADASS" was in "Enemies" and Faith had just given her little spill to Buffy and we here Angel say "Second best."
I didn't think I was going to be able to scrape my jaw off the floor. They had totally fooled me.

I agree with a lot of what has been mentioned already. I'll add a few different ones...

- Riley blowing up the vamps crypt in Fool For Love. 😀
- Giles beating Ethan to a pulp while we all thought G was this quiet and nonviolent guy.
- Wesley unloading all his guns on the Beast... You gotta admit that was badass even though... it ended up being ineffective!
- Angel getting rid of all the W&H men in the classroom during Conviction.
- Lindsey's EVIL HAND scene in Dead End.
- The Beast annihilating W&H' LA branch.

Ohhhh and I kept the best for last... Illyria dismantling what was left of the Fang Gang in a matter of seconds in Time Bomb. I love that scene so much! Spike didn't even have time to say something sarcastic or witty. And finally someone got rid of that stupid vampire with the hair gel. 😛
