Roeper Says Michelle's Gonna be a Star

Did anyone else see last week's Siskel & Roeper?

Richard Roeper was pimping the Eurotrip DVD. He said Buffy's Michelle Trachtenberg was great in it, and could be an up and coming movie star.
 
I usually love just about everyone and anything but I seriously do not understand why he would say that. She was horrible in that movie. I think her acting is so fake. She was just as annoying in EuroTrip as she was on Buffy. I am anxious to see if the public audience in general (not just Buffy fans) receives her performance well.
 
I think she has the potential, I haven't seen Eurotrip but she was okay in Buffy and she seems to be doing all sorts of work, TV, film, comedies, drama etc and shes got her whole life ahead of her.
 
I'm just going by the impression of a memory, but when Roeper made that comment about Trachtenberg's future I got the impression Ebert agreed with him.

Also I know I've heard other reviews of Eurotrip, and my general feeling was that although most critics panned the movie, they had good things to say about Michelle.

I feel the same way about her work on Buffy. You might not like the character of Dawn, but I don't see how anyone can fault Michelle Trachtenberg's performance of the character.
