Romance and Sex in Season Six

So basically the essay is biased, contradictory and I shouldn't read it?

Good, got that covered.

In other news:

All you need is (spuffy) love

Whether that be wild monkey love or tender sarah mclachlan love, that's your call.

LMAO! Woot!
I read it...and she's swallowed so much dogma I'm surprised she ain't barking...But what is really funny is that she says she's working from transcripts and I think she says she hadn't actually seen the episode...context is important, and sometimes the words of a script just don't convey the intent of the scene (in general, not specifically in this situation).

A beautiful mind...
Go ahead and read it. Despite the author's failure to mention Buffy's actions in "Gone", it's not a bad essay.

I read some of it, babe, only because I also love mind rape.

I'm not sure what makes you think it's not a bad essay. She came to the essay with an extreme position, and then twisted aspects of the show to suit that position. Taking dialogue out of context, using her stereotypical models of the relationships between man and women, what she thinks they should be, and what she badly interprets what the writers are saying they should be.

Just shaking the tree to see what falls down, huh? Watch out for falling monkeys.
There only was sex in Season 6 wasn't there? I've just finished rewatching Season 6 two days ago, and I don't remember much romance.... I remember a couple of touching moments when Buffy was trying to let Spike down gently, and as an obsessed person does, he saw love where there was only kindness, but I saw no romance.

Theres plenty of gratuitous unnecessary uncomfortable-to-watch sex though....

Oh and I tried to read the essay, but the link wouldn't work, slayagetv server seems to be down....
