Riley. Angel deserved it after leaving like that in S3. Riley should have kicked his sorry ass back to LA.

Tell em, Caro!
well in my eyes the love story between Riley and Buffy wasn't as exciting as the Love between Angel. Angel and Buffy had experienced so much in contrast to riley and buffy. So I hoped that Angel would kick Rileys as* as he did! 😀

Angel all the way!
He is exactly what Buffy needs in a man: sweet, but someone who can kick butt so she doesn't have to worry about him being injured.

I voted for Angel, I've been a Bangel fan from the begining and shall be to the end!! 😀 Plus I've never really liked Riley, I don't know why, he's just not likeable to me lol So I quite enjoyed seeing Angel kick his ass lol 😀

I'm not even a Bangel shipper and I was rooting for Angel. He is better than Riley :)
Hi, this is my first post.

I think they both acted really lame, rooted for noone.

I agree, they were both being idiotic. However, as revealed, at least Riley's justification turned out to be that he thought Angel was evil (and who can blame him? He was sure acting like it to someone who'd never met him before). Angel was just beating up on Riley because he was Buffy's boyfriend. Not so macho, and kind of juvenile.

That's why Angel's smug little smirk (although really funny) kind of annoyed me, because it was as if he had "won" their little feud by Buffy choosing to talk to Angel in private away from Riley.

But of course, I realise now as a more mature viewer, that Angel didn't win anything at all. He went home, alone with his tail between his legs. Riley got to go to bed with Buffy in his arms that night.

Riley definately came out of it better 😀

Yay for first post! :)
Angel. I'm a total ho for Angel. I'm always rooting for him even when he's doing wrong xD.

I do remember being angry that Riley was smashing bottles off Angels head and shocking him with tasters while Angel only used his hands.

Then I was mad that a normal dude hurt Angel enough for him to show his vamp face xD.

At the time I rooted for Riley.

I hadn't watched AtS at all, so all I knew was Angel in the first 3 seasons of Buffy and I had always found him as exciting as a number 2 pencil. But now, having watched Angel, I wouldn't root against him.

LMAO at the number 2 pencil joke
When I first watched it, I was rooting for Angel because I didn't like Riley, but watching it now, I root for Buffy to kick both their sorry butts.

This is intresting because I actually disliked Buffy the most in this ep, because she obviously took Angel over Riley, and treated ehr man like a child. If i was Riley I would have left her.

I'm a Bangel shipper, and Angel is oen of my 3 fav characters, but this is the one time where he ticked me off. I know all Angel wanted to do was apoligize, which i respect, but Riley is Buffy's bf, and I would'nt blame Riley for trying to stop Angel, especially after findign otu from Xander what Angel ad Buffy did. I also hated Angels smirk to Riley. Angel is awesome, but I was all for Riley here

So, this is weird for me. I hate them both, rather a lot, you know? I kinda love Angel on his own show but whenever he's on Buffy he pisses me off...unless I'm watching in a real Buffy mindset where I love Angel and Riley and all that jazz. Oh, the Buffy in me...sigh. But in this episode I was rooting for Angel. I was not in a good place with Riley and I enjoyed seeing Angel hold his own against him. So, the one time I liked Angel to an extent on BTVS.

But Spike is better.

(forget i said that)

I voted neither. That was really annoying , the two of them fighting like horny teens .
I kind of like Riley in season 4, because he's a nice guy, but he quickly makes me cringe, and so does Angel in Btvs.

I'm a Bangel, I've always been since the show started so I voted Angel. I just dont agree that Riley had any right to start a fight with Angel. Riley had been told that Angel went evil after Buffy slept with him, so was Riley's attacking Angel saying that he didnt trust Buffy.

You make a point, and I'm not attacking you I would just like to kindly point out that i think Riley had the right not to trust Buffy because she didn't tell him about how she and Angel had sex, even though she told Riley that he knew everythign about Angel. I liek Angel on his own show, and I liked Bangel back in seasons 1 and 2, but It hink he was out of line in this instance, but I think Buffy was the worst here.

Angel, of course! I mean, sitting through Season 4, every scene with just Buffy & Riley made me cringe. In a bad way.

Still, those two fighting. WAY out of line, especially for Angel's character.

I can see were your coming from, but just because Buffy didnt tell Riley about Angel's trigger didnt mean that Riley shouldnt trust her. This is what Riley says to her:

Riley: And, after that, I went a little nuts! You know? I mean . . . On the one hand . . I should believe in us. But on the other . . Sometimes things happen between exes and when I saw that he was bad. . .

He even says himself that he should have believed in their relationship but he didnt. And I'm surprised Buffy wasnt more offended at Riley's accusation.

Yeah I agree, I guess I just wish Riley was a bit more defensive of himself here, but it all worked out between Buffy, Angel, and Riley.
