Rose Slayer

This is not a real television show. It is a fan film being made by me. Yes, I think I made a thread before... but I can't find it! Well here's the new thread! There's been some updates, but not major ones. Our star may not be starring, so we might need to replace her. Our dustings will be done in AlamDV, a very easy program that actually has an effect for vampire dust. I'ms till working for a camera!! O.O I want this very good one, but it costs over 2,000 dollars. So yeah. Poor me. I've written SOME of the script... Morgan and I are still working on things.

(Kids start walking out of school. A girl with books stacked in her hands is bumped a lot. A boy, holding his skateboard, runs over to her. He pushes people away as he shouts at her.)

BOY: Hey! Move it! Stupid people!

GIRL: Charlie! Hey!

CHARLIE: Sarah! (Stutters because is bumped) C-Can you"”WATCH OUT"”help me with my math?

SARAH: (Laughs and smiles) Sure, I will. Mister O'Dell has been talking to me about tutoring you.

CHARLIE: Don't you do that enough? (Laughs) So, did you hear about that new girl?

SARAH: Gosh, word travels fast. But, yeah, I have. I heard she got expelled for burning down her gymnasium back in LA.

CHARALIE: (Impish grin) Ooh! I like, I like!

SARAH: Charlie! Ew! Stop that! (Laughs) So, yeah, come over to my house, we'll get that math done!

(Camera cuts off and focuses on a house with a moving truck in the front of it. People are going in and out of the house. The neighborhood looks unfinished, but nice enough to live in. We have a close up on the door and finally see the inside. It's very large and very clean. Finally a person appears. It is a girl and she is holding a large box. She quickly steps up the stairs and walks into a small room and drops the box.)

GIRL: It's not home, and never will be.

(The girl leans against the doorway and looks into the room. Her pupils grow large until there is nothing was black. She pulls her hands to her throat and rasps. In a flash of white the scene changes. The camera is focused on the back on a blonde woman. She is fighting some sort of vampire. She flips and kicks the vampires. The vampire punches her and she hits a wall. She coughs and tried to stake the vampire. The vampire grabs her arm and bends it backwards. We hear a cracking sound. The vampire instead shoved the stake into the woman's heart. She falls to the ground dead. A dark haired woman steps up.)

WOMAN: B! (Looks at vampire) Dude, you are so going to die.

(The dark haired woman elbows the vampire, and punches him in the face. The vampire tries to take a swat at her, but she rolled back. She looked up and kicked the vampire in the groin. She jumps to her feet and kicks him in the face. Suddenly another vampire appears and she is now fighting both. Punches and kicks fly. She drives the stake into one of the vampires and it explodes into dust. But she was caught off guard and the other snapped her neck, killing her. In another flash of white light we see another blonde girl is shown. She is holding an axe. She swipes at something and we see an orange demon howling in pain. His blood is yellow.)

GIRL: Sorry, it's in my job description. You know the story, one girl in all the world, stands up against the vampires and demons. (Swipes again) I'm not done with my story! Well you know how the witch Willow Rosenberg cast the spell to make all the potential slayers everywhere a slayer? Yeah, well she was killed. And the spell was killed along with her. So all the slayers turned back into potentials, expect for Buffy and Faith. Well Buffy was killed by a normal little vampire. Yeah, she was old. About fifty, I think. And then Faith was killed, activating me. See, now I'm the slayer. And if you die, no one else will rise in your place.

(The girl smiled and kicked him down. She began swiping the axe along his skin and trying to chop away. She punched him left and right on the axe until he grabs it. The throws the axe away and corners the young girl.)

DEMON: Oh, scared now, are we? Weren't a minute ago! (Laughs) Well my dear, it's time for your time to end.

(The camera focuses on the wall as you see the shadow of the demon take the axe and kill the slayer. Suddenly with the last flash of white light we were back to the girl. She felt power surging through her. She rushes to the bathroom and throws up. She is now the slayer.)

MOTHER'S VOICE: Shay, honey? I heard something fall. Are you okay?

SHAY: Yeah, mom, I just tripped. I'm fine.

MOTHER'S VOICE: Oh, okay honey! Be down for lunch!

SHAY: Yeah"¦ sure.

Updates:

I've almost offically dumped Cara out of Rose Slayer. Hopefully I will be casting my friend Adrienne. So yeah, things are semi-smooth.

before i got into film making i read one of the most important things i've ever read on the subject "don't look at camera magazines, you just get addicted and want the latest one with the shineiest feature, any camera is better then no camera"

and its true.

to be blunt. you dont need a top of the line model. your not making a film thats going to cannes. your not going to sell it. your going to have (hopefully) a lot of fun making a film you can show your family and friend.

once you get this experience (and beleave me you have no idea what your getting yourself into!) then you can think about going on to a bigger production that you can get into a film festival.

This is one of the most impressive ameature films i've seen on the internet. it is being filmed on a bottem of the range DV camera with out even a Mike Jack. (thats right only the camera mike) and looks damn impressive.

The most important thing i could tell you. the tools dont make the artist

the second most important thing DONT USE THE ONBOARD MIC!!!

oh and the other most important thing which is slightly more important then the other most important thing althought not quite.

Thank Faldor! I do have a DV camera, but I don't knwo if it hooks up to the interent.

Adrienne says that she might be able to do it. I have done some math, and if things go smoothly, then it will take a month and seventeen days to shoot the film.

to connect to the computer you need a "Firewire" card and cable. if you dont have one of them and you have an empty slot at the back of the computer you should be able to pick one up and just pop it in.

I'm going out to buyy a Firewire. I lost mine, darnit! Well Adrieene has signed onto the cast. But there's something that I need... the Slayer Scythe. I was thinking of buying one off ebay, but it cost WAY too much money. $800!! I cannot afford that. but the scythe is quite important in the movie. Now, in the comic book "Fray," it was told that the last Slayer called was in the 21 century. Well most thought it was Buffy, but I'm going to say it's Shay. Since my actor has a very wild sense of fashion, Shay normally fights in a skirt. So yeah. Got that figured out. I'm just looking for a wawy to construct a Scythe. Any tips?

when i made Boj the vampire hunter many moons ago (and no you dont want to see it) we had some swords constructed out of wood, didnt look amazing but we used wide shots and kill bill esq "ching ching" sounds, did the job 🙂

Thanks! But I'm not exactly good with my hands. Wood would be really hard to make a full Slayer Scythe.

My dad, who lies in California, sent me his camera. A DV Sony 560x Digital Handycam. Hm... I hope it's okay. I'm purchasing a tripod because my dad still needs his.
