Anyone else a fan Roswell?

Aside from some of the recent sci-fi shows we've been getting, this was definately one of my favourite shows. I loved Sheri Appleby and watching Liz and Max together was one of the most believable relationships i've seen. Not sure I like where things went with a 'future Max' coming and telling Liz how she shouldn't be with him but still. Some pretty cool plot lines too as they show their history... Shame it ended so soon. 🙁

Anyone else?

I know that I've watched and liked it when it first aired but I can't really remember what happened apart from "teenaged aliens trying to fit in with the locals until some alien bitca appears out of nowhere" and that I thought that Isabel was super pretty - well, it's hard not to be if you're played by Katherine Heigl.

But it is one of the shows on my "have to rewatch that someday" list.

Yeah, I'm a fan of Roswell aswell. 🙂 Though, I think the first two seasons were much much better than the third.

One of my favorite shows of all time - still think it's the best pilot ever.

🙂

Totally! I think maybe the Veronica Mars pilot beats it, but only slightly :)

I shouldn't have brought this up, all it means is i'm gonna want to watch it all again and i dont have time lol.

Flannen and I were just talking about Roswell! She is a fan, and I really want to start watching!

Yep! I love this show, one of my all-time faves as well. I own all 3 seasons, although I agree that the third wasn't as good as the first 2, but alot of that for me was because I'm an avid Michael/Maria shipper and there wasn't much of that going on in the third season 🙁 and i'm pretty sure it was because it was weird after the real life break-up of Majandra Delfino & Brendan Fehr, damn those pesky on-set romances :silly: This show started my love affair with Katherine Heigl, she was one of the main reasons I watched Grey's Anatomy when it premiered, like Emile De Ravin was one of the reasons I decided to watch Lost. And i can't ever go on enough about how awesome Kyle's character turned out to be, hilarious ("Buddha forgive me but i'm gonna kick your ass!") and endearing in how in love he was w/ Isabel.

I would really recommend this show to any Buffy fan. It has most of the qualities that make me love Buffy. Behind the sci/fi alien stuff there is so much more... its just a plot device to explore the far deeper and very real day-to-day experiences of these characters, how they relate to eachother and their very human reactions to life. Plus its clever and quite funny AND Julie Benz guest stars

How often is Julie Benz in it?

i used to watch it all the time when it first aired and i loved it then but couldnt really remember what happened but then recently its been back on tv which gave me a chance to watch some and i still love it its great. i love michael and maria those two make me laugh. its a shame there is only 3 seasons. i really want them on dvd so hopefully will get them soon 🙂

I love this show. As clemxens, we were talking about it the other night.

Like most people, I think the first 2 seasons were much better than the third. I love the storylines with Topolski and the other FBI guy who's name slips my mind with the whole 'white room' thing. Loved Max and Liz, but I could not stand Tess!

This is a show I do need to watch again, I've seen a few re-runs recently.

I think one of my favourite scenes is the end of Season 1 I think, with all four of them standing together, as Liz walks away with U2's 'Walk On' in the background. 🙂

I agree with you on the Tess thing..
Often they have it on C4/E4 (can't remember which). Like Buffy I love this show, in fact we used to run a forum for it.

I never was a Liz/Max fan, infact she kinda grated on me. I always preferred Michael to Max, less wishy washy, and yes that is a technical term.

Returing the VM LoVe with a little Michael love karma :)
Watched Roswell for the first time not long ago.
I immediately become a huge fan of Shiri Appleby. She was the main reason I liked the show. 🙂

Would have loved to see more of it. Think they could have pulled off some more season.

Also agree on the pilot. It was a great one.
Personally I think Firefly has the best pilot ever though.

Lol. Karma cause you made me giggle :)
I watched the first season on hulu over a year ago, because I'd heard it was kind of similar to Buffy. It's okay. Not anything I'd really get too excited over though. I can kind of see the comparison, but I feel like Buffy really transcended the teen show label and Roswell didn't more often than not. I remember there was one episode that felt like it was thirty minutes of the kids kissing each other wrapped around maybe ten minutes of plot. Anyway, I might have watched more of them if Hulu didn't stop after season one but it wasn't a difficult show to walk away from either.
