Round 5: Giles VS Wesley

Does this include WWP on Angel?

Ok, this will most likely be the hardest choice for me during this first batch of eliminating rounds. 😱 I never actually considered which of Wesley and Giles I like most. I think I'll eliminate Wesley because it took a certain amount of time for me to like his character, which, at first, I found quite annoying. He does go through the most character development on either show, and he ends up a badass, but Giles I loved from the very first episode! He's an awesome character. 😀

Giles, definitely. That'll teach him to try to kill Spike!

I'm choosing to eliminate Giles (rocking and sobbing) as much as I love him. Not only do I love Wesley, he really is critical to an entire arc in Angel.

No, why does everyone want to eliminate Wesley? He was a complete tool in the beginning, but Dark Wesley?!? He was the best and most interesting character in either show. Come on. Lame.

Well, I've never really considered which one I like more..but, sorry Wesley. No contest.
It took me a long time to warm to Wes- I don't like pratfall Wesley very much

Giles is one of the Core Four, a huge part of the original universe. He's Buffy surrogate Father, he is a big part of her evolution as a slayer and as a young woman (although he doesn't get as much credit for this- being a patriachal figure and all...)

Also, he tried to kill Spike. 🙂

ASH has some of the the best line delivery for the comedy, is easily the best male actor on Buffy when it comes to the dramatci side (see 'Passion'), has a great singing voice. Plays the guitar, the man just plain rocks. 🙂

Plus, ASH is actually English- big plus. 🙂

@thetopher please don't tempt me with the thing "he tried to kill Spike." 😀 Wes tried too, suggesting at Angel to destroy the amulet on hallowed ground. 😛
