Ruffy (Riley/Buffy) Most Hated Ship?

Was Ruffy (Riley/Buffy) the most hated ship of the series or does Wennedy (Willow & Kennedy) still top that title?
 
I don't think it's considered the most hated. For one thing, I think Killow tops it!

The thing about Briley, (or Ruffy!) is that it's the only of Buffy's long term relationships about which we can say "that didn't work," because there isn't really any hope for them, for the future. Riley is happily married. I think a lot of the time when we battle over "who is better" for Buffy, we are taking into account what we hope will happen, based on events both past and present. Briley gets a lot of flack when seasons 4 and 5 are reviewed, and I think a lot of that is due to the fact that we now know that it didn't work out.

Killow tops Briley for sure. I actually liked Riley. I thought he was pretty good for Buffy until the end there. Not as good as Angel, but I liked him He fit the group dynamic well.

As a long-term Dander shipper, I don't get the hate but being able to remember Briley and Kellow when it happened (thus being able to compare hatred as it happens), Dander is nearly beloved, comparatively. Kellow got so much crap for Kennedy pouncing on a grieving and damaged Willow. Briley barely compared, people just thought he was boring/whiny/annoying/not!Angel and with his vampire thing it happened so soon before he left that people were just happy to forget about him and ignore him a lot of the time.

So, yeah, I believe Kellow takes away that dubious honour.

I think at the time of season 4s original airing Buffy/Riley was a pretty heatedly disliked ship. Now I find there's plenty of love/shipping of the that ship whereas the audience never seem to have really warmed up to Willow/Kennedy, so I certainly think that Killow is the most hated ship
 
LMAO@Ruffy... I have always heard it called Briley. 😀

As a lot of other folks have said, I think Kennedy and Willow are probably a lot more hated than Buffy with anyone she dated, except maybe Parker. (Barker?)

Just saying Ruffy makes me annoyed... but I have to agree the Killow is worse for sure!!! But I like Kennedy as a character more than Riley!

Same. Riley made me ill. Especially when he was describing going for a drive during their picnic - gag
I hated Ruffy more then Killow. But I have to admit that I loved Riley as an character. I just hated this soldier/initiative Riley/Buffy love. It was often too ridiculous! In a better or more serious Initiative story this relationship would be ok, I think.
 
Up until season 7, Briley are most hated by popular opinion. Then you watch season 7 and realize there's worse things than Briley. Which is Killow. That's what it's there for 😀
 
i really came to...maybe not /like/ but...find riley's character interesting. and i thought he and buffy were good together, while it lasted. i don't think buffy treated him very well, but i liked them.

Briley is the second most hated ship for me. Spuffy tops it. I really never had any problems with the Killow ship.

Yea, I'm realizing that my views are pretty different from the common views.

I don't have a problem with Briley or Ruffy or w/e it's called. Killow is by far the most hated, from what I've seen/heard...everywhere haha. It's definitely my least favorite. I just wasn't a fan of Kennedy. Uch. Maybe I would have liked her more if she hadn't been with Willow. It's weird. There was something that I liked about them together but at the same time it really bothers me. I think it's because I loved Willow/Tara so much 🙁

Ruffy! haha I just like the sound of that! Definately not most hated ship..... there are far worse as mentioned above. I always jump at an opportunity to give Riley some lovin!!!😀😀

Why do you think they were the most hated couple?
