I don't know how much credibility can be put in this article from BBC Cult (I think they make it fairly clear that this is pure speculation at this stage) -

Wonderfalls movie?

Short-lived fantasy show may be heading to the cinema.

Our favourite cancelled-before-its-time show may be heading the way of Firefly, to the big screen.

Talking to that bastion of serious news, Popgurls.com, the show's lead actress Caroline Dhavernas offered a glimmer of hope to fans.

"They're talking about a movie. I don't want to hold to that because in this business you can talk about things for years before they get done," said Dhavernas. "God knows if the financing would happen. I know that people are still thinking about it, so we'll see what happens."

Wonderfalls told the story of souvenir store worker Jaye who starts receiving instructions from normally inanimate objects. Four episodes were screened before it was canned, but all thirteen have just been released on DVD Stateside.

Personally, I'm still waiting to see the actual eps...I think it's gonna be a DVD purchase, just like Firefly 😉

I hope they do a movie. It was a great show, but unfortunately I think the rumour mill is starting up, the same way it is with Angel.

I'd go see that movie for sure if they made it, but the 13 episodes themselves are so good it's almost redundant. I don't know how you'd top them.

In fact if I was going to buy 1 dvd, Wonderfalls is the one I'd buy. The 13 have a beginning, middle and an end. It's a complete story, and every episode holds up as well to repeat viewings, even as Buffy.

I was amazed reading in that interview that Caroline Dhavernas had a French-Canadian accent at the time of filming. She impresses me like crazy. I have to see the one she's doing with David Boreanaz.

Yeah I wanna see that one to. I haven't picked up the Wonderfalls dvds yet. But I plan to, as soon as I'm finished Tru Calling, 24 and Trailer Park Boys (needless to say, I like box sets).

I was so impressed with the show so I wouldn't be concerned with them topping it in movie form. The amazed me the first time, I think they could do it again.

My apologies to the rest of the world, but I have to speak Canadian to Beer Nut for a sec.

Beer Nut: Did you know they're going to show the complete 13 a second time starting April 4 on Vision. And Hurray!!! New episodes of Trailer Park Boys starting this month.

I'd be happy if vision had a budget big enough to actually keep the show going... lol. I'll definitely be watching. Can't wait for TPBs, can't miss that one (maybe they'll have Rita MacNeil back to recreate the funniest episode ever...lol).

All you have to do is mention Rita MacNeil and Trailer Park Boys in the same sentence, and I break out out laughing.

I mean Tubby little, car-jacked Rita MacNeil singing negro spirituals while late-night harvesting Ricky and Julian's marijuana crop. Capital H Hilarious!
