Basically I wanna know what your opinions are on them. I think they're brilliant and their music will live forever. And I reckon that Jo's singing voice is amazing and she has real talent. S Club also remind me of when I used to come home from school and just sit there waiting and staring at the clock waiting for their show to come on. Slightly off-topic but, that's pretty much what I do with Buffy on FX. I just sit and watch the clock waiting for 4 O'Clock.

I loved watching their show. Here in Germany, it was on saturdays. They were fun and I hope that they will bring it back on on day.

After the show ended there was this huge break and Paul quit, right? They had a couple good songs after that but I think they just didn't get back to their old strength. And I agree with you on Jo. I've heard she was on Big Brother UK. Is that right? Hannah got into acting, but what is the rest doing? Anybody know anything?

I don't know about Jo being on Big Brother because I have only ever watched it once and that was about 2 years ago. Yes Paul did quit but the show still carried on. Hence why the band is now called S Club. They had a choice, S Club 6, S Club or something else which I can't remember. I was so upset when they did break up.

it's on my iPod. I loved S Club, and I used to want to be a part of the band! That was, of course, when i was 12 or so, but.. I was bummed when they cancelled the show.. AND when they cancelled Big Wolf on Campus!

Although their music was catchy, I never really got into them so never watched much of the show.
I can't say that I think their music will live forever, as I haven't heard of them in YEARS here and pop music doesn't usually live longer than the next big trend.
*shrugs*
That's just my opinion, though.

I had their first album and loved the show. Are they still around?

No they split in 2003. Huh, the same year Buffy ended.
I remember being 12 or so and i was a complete fan, which is kind of embarassing since my taste in music now has nothing to do with their music, but i admit that i watched the show and listened to the songs.

No offense to KK, cos I love you but...

I think they represent everything that is wrong with the music industry - just another unimaginative, unoriginal pop band churned out by big business record companies. The only thing about them that will be remembered is the appearance of one of the "singers" on a reality show being a bit racist.

So, what do I think of them? S Club 7 - more like Sh** Club 7!

I am ashamed to admit that back in my late teens I did love S Club 7. I was never a big fan of their TV show but I had every one of their albums and even saw them live in.. it must have been 2001 because my brother got me the tickets for my 18th birthday : erm :

I didn't particularly like their last album, 90's cheesy pop S Club 7 were better. Perhaps that shows how poor my music taste was at the time haha. I still listen to and like a few of their earlier songs though!.. I should pop over to the "Songs you're ashamed to admit you love" thread, I'm sure I can list a few!

That you should definitely do. I need more shameful songs to add to my collection.
You know, I don't understand the hatred of them. They're not bad. They have good vocals. They ARE a bit pop-ish, but I prefer listening to them over, say NSYNC. And They're lyrics aren't bad either. They're not a BAND, as in they don't actually play any instruments, but they are performers. And not bad performers at that.

And I am not ashamed to say that yes, I do occasionally flip to them on my iPod every now and then. Must say though, I liked their last album better than the first few. Just because it feels more clubbish. (And I'm talking about their last US album, not the last 2 UK albums.. which I don't know much about)

Ha ha... that whole thing you wrote about coming home from scholl, thats was me! Miami 7, Boyfriends and Birthdays, that weird one where they went back in time, The one in Spain.... i was a sucka for anything S Club! I still love their music actually... Reminds me of the better days when the world was an open playground!
Theres a weird story actually. In primary school me and a friend used to be in the quoir, and we had this obsession with S Club, so we decided to form a band... we called ourselves 'MIAMI 2'... how tacky is that???? And anyway, we used to do shows on the steps for the younger kids... basically we did S Club and Busted and 'beleive' by Cher (reminds me of Buffys Dorm sharer! ha ha... love that episode). Yeah... i was one of those too happy kids! ha ha.

So yeah... S Club will always be in my heart! *we are two in a million*

ha ha.

Ill leave now before my non-existant reputation dies even more!

Oh i just saw the thing from Bluebird and i do agree somewhat... looking back at them they are the sort of thing i dont like about the music industry now, but when your a kid you dont think of that. They will always be something i liked and something that was a part of my life growing up so i cant say i hate them... but i do agree with that view you have Bluebird.

I'm sorry, but I have to say that I'd rather have my toe-nails pulled out by someone using rusty pliers than listen to SC7 or any of the other manufactured bands of recent times. The Spice Girls {shudder} are a prime example - give me a high powered sniper rifle, 5,000 shells and I'll gladly rid the world of a lot of wastes of space...

So you're not that good a shot then? XD
They still exist??

Never heard about they had a show >.< Here there were only some musics and video clips... I loved it, probably I still know the lyrics xD

I thought that the only opinion of S Club 7 external to the band itself was one of seething and all-consuming hate?

Wait a minute, they had a show? How come I never knew of this? And according to a previous post, it has even aired in Germany. Hm. Mystery.
Well, I used to listen to their music. And even danced on song. Back in the day when I was doing dancing at school.

I dislike bands that are or appear to have been manufactured by people or companies that just want to make cash. They don't care about the music like individuals, groups, bands call them what you will did in the the 50's, 60's, 70's and early 80's.

People like Simon Cowell have a lot to answer for when it comes down to it - whilst the Spice Girls for example might have made their own personal fortunes from their time together that's nothing to what Cowell and his buddies made off them... I read somewhere once that for every £1 million they made Cowell made £5 million.

I'm not a bad shot Five by Five... the 5,000 rounds are just to make sure that there are enough to go round - don't want to miss anyone out. LOL
