Saddam has been captured

Rayne - I was voted most evil in the class of 2003 lol. I think I take the cake on this one lol.

Maybe they should lock him in a little hole in the ground like the one they found him in and just leave him there... forever.

He should be condemned to death cos 1) he's evil and 2) to put the minds of the Iraqi people at rest that he's not gonna come back.

He'll just get a life sentence in an Iraqi prison (at least it is for life over there - unlike the UK) but i have a feeling he's gonna get broken out of any prison he's in by his loyal followers.

Just cos you capture the leader of a nation, doesn't mean they're atomatically gonna fall in line. God, I've become such a pessimist!

I have a feeling he would brake out of prison too, but can't we keep him here in the United Staates? (im fromt he US)

No, like any rabid nasty creature...he needs to be destroyed...🙂
Mercy has no place in this case.

I agree with you Rayne.

Iraqi punishment is more severe than anything that the US or the UK can come up with. I think they should give him back to Iraqi and let them punish him. He deserves a whole lot more than just a bullet to his head for what he's done to all those people.

I dont agree Jules. although hes a terrible man, some of thos tortures are REALLY evil.....

I heard that they do some pretty nasty tortures! one involves giving the guy a pill (so he feels hardly, but some pain), cutting open his stomach, dropping a rat into it and sewing it up! Its the most disqusting thing Ive ever heard.

they also torture people by feeding them broken glass. Its sick!

if that was to disgusting to post, could one of the mods either delete it or cover it up somehow, as I dont know how to do that.

Am I the only one, who thinks it's bad news?

I mean sure, he deserves justice. But it would've been nice if Bush wouldn't have caught him, if he had just stayed hidden in his hole, untill Hillary ruled the world 😉

I also I'm very much upset about the way he was humiliated in public by the Americans. I though Bush was a christian? Isn't there a passage in the Bible like, what you don't want you to overcome, don't do it to someone else either. Just because he's a crook, doesn't means the rules chance for him.

Where are his weapons? I saw them inspecting his old farm, his hole in the ground, I even saw them inspecting his mouth... didn't see chemical weapons, anyone else saw them?

I do think the Iraqi's should trail him, mainly because he hasn't done anything against the Americans. I'm against the death penatly. Saddam is ill in his mind, anyone doubt that? And I think that ill people should be treated, or at least should be kept in a safe place where they can't hurt others or themselves. I don't believe in penalty anyway. Penalty can work preventive and it can work satisfactionairy for victims, but the punished person doesn't really get helped!

Have you seen the mass graves that have been found? The woman and children that have been killed because of this one man?

He deserves the worst kind of punishment. And to keep him alive is out of the question. This man has been responsible for thousands of deaths, he doesn't feel any guilt or remorse over what he's done.

Sorry if that sounds arguementative but I think he needs to be punished for what he's done to all them people.

I know that Saddam deserves to die, but I'm not so sure about torture and what not. Maybe it's because I'm such a nice person (as you are all, dont get me wrong, lol), but I wouldn't want to see ANYONE get tortured. I know Saddam deserves to die for what he did to thousands of people.

Allycat - I don't think he could fit nuclear bombs with him in the hole, LoL. But, um, the reason they went into Iraq in the first place was to try to get him to get rid of all nuclear weapons, that were proven he had. Vast rumors were told about him using the nuclear weapons against American's in an act of terrorism. I'd rather his life be destroyed and him being humiliated, rather than millions of people's lives dying for no reason.

Great, now mister commander in thief has more wood for his destructive fire.

Obviously this is going to increase his popularity in the polls, what with all the people who don't realize that a) it's not America's job to be the world's police and b) this war was completely made up.

So, it changed from invisible WMD, to freeing iraqi people, to capturing Saddam... interesting.

American foreign policy is despicable, yet admirable.

Just because he kills people, does that give you the right to kill people too?

Do you know how many nuclear bombs America has. If they are allowed to have them, so is Saddam. Untill they get rid of their own trash, they have no right telling off others.

Wow Allycat, it seems that u'r very settled in ur thoughts ?
I kinda agree with u bout the fact that we haven't the right to kill a person coz he has killed ppl... I'm totally against death penalty, but in the same time, if only a few person deserved it, I think it's the kind of ppl like Saddam, Hitler or Castro.
But right, it shouldn't be allowed to kill ppl, it's like who r we to decide if they deserve to die or not ?
Moreover, die would be too good for Saddam, I'm not going to say he must be tortured, coz it would mean that we r like him if we use his way to do, but he deserves to pay for what he's done.
It's very difficult to decide sommink bout ppl like Saddam actually, coz they r such -soz they r no words to describe them but i'd tell monsters to go with the btvs board- monsters that u'd like to be so crual with them, coz they deserve it, but in the same time, if u go down to their level, well, u could become like them ?

I'm talking about killing the ONE man responsible for the deaths of THOUSANDS. I'm not talking about killing people I'm talking about killing the monster that took pleasure in tortuing innocent people to death.

i dont think that it was right to go to war, they have coused even more destrucion, btu i do thinkt hat iot is very good news that Saddam has been captured.

i have to agree with you there Allycat. i think that America thyink that its their responsobility or somthing. and i dont think that its right to do stuff like that.

Every major power country has nuclear bombs. the only difference is, that we/they aren't about to use them for no good reason, or because our religion tells us to, or because we wanna inforce terrorism. We/they have nuclear weapons to use in battles or to protect themselves, not for the reasons I listed. And I hope you don't think I'm being mean or anything, LoL. Some people say I come off a little angry sometimes...

@jules: What gives you the right to call someone a monster, who gave you the right to judge others?

@Parker Summers: Nuclear Weapons aren't for protection, they're for mass destruction. They have no other use at all.

Come on people, doesn't anyone have principals?

Either killing people is wrong or it isn't, either everyone should be allowed to have weapons or no one. There's no in-between. When you start making expections, is when you start discriminating others.

I guess this is why it is such a big controversy. Because either you are against what happens to him, or you're for what happens to him. I just think he should get the death penality. It's a fitting crime for what he's done over the years.

Principals are like... manners and stuff right?

I know it's money driven, it's still both admirable and despicable.

Frenchy Faith, please don't put Saddam and Castro in the same level.

I really don't care what happens to Saddam, he could be shot, mutilated, or sent to a paradise. It would be still fine by me. Either way, it's not the US, or any other country for that matter, to choose that.

Sadly, I just realized that this war made sense, a terrible sense, but a sense.

Some explained me that middle east countries depend on oil for economy, and therefore for everything else. Also all those countries have an anti-american sentiment.

It is expected that in around 30-40 years, there won't be oil anymore there, what exactly are those countries going to live off?

It's a wasteland, they can't grow foods or raise a decent amount of cattle. It's not industrialized at all, nor it will become, people there are ignorant, don't know how to read and half their population (women) is virtually enslaved. They are religious and mostly fundamentalist, they are like living a modern middle age.

How are they going to get money and food and everything else? The only possible way is to make other countries help them, obviously with terrorism, threat of nuclear war, yadda yadda yadda. Obviously screwing up american and european economy.

So, according to this guy, those who are financing the war have this in mind, they are trying to gain "control" over several nations there, so they can install economic models or something else, and try to eliminate the anti-USA feeling.

Note: I mentioned "those who are financing the war". Bush and his creed are still in it for the direct immediate money by rebuilding the destroyed cities and other reasons.
