Saddam has been captured

I have my own opinion and in my eyes what that man did was wrong. And sorry to disappoint you Allycat but its human nature to judge people, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure I read a post of yours about the new slayer on Angel, how you were really good at judging people without even knowing anything about them. At least I've based my judgement on what this man has done.

Some explained me that middle east countries depend on oil for economy, and therefore for everything else. Also all those countries have an anti-american sentiment.

It is expected that in around 30-40 years, there won't be oil anymore there, what exactly are those countries going to live off?

It's a wasteland, they can't grow foods or raise a decent amount of cattle. It's not industrialized at all, nor it will become, people there are ignorant, don't know how to read and half their population (women) is virtually enslaved. They are religious and mostly fundamentalist, they are like living a modern middle age.

How are they going to get money and food and everything else? The only possible way is to make other countries help them, obviously with terrorism, threat of nuclear war, yadda yadda yadda. Obviously screwing up american and european economy.

So, according to this guy, those who are financing the war have this in mind, they are trying to gain "control" over several nations there, so they can install economic models or something else, and try to eliminate the anti-USA feeling.

Note: I mentioned "those who are financing the war". Bush and his creed are still in it for the direct immediate money by rebuilding the destroyed cities and other reasons.

I saw something about that on the news this morning. Something about making Iraq into the '51 state' and that Mr. Bremer would be the 'govener'. I wonder if there is any way we could keep some of their stuff, so it doesnt seem like we are just invading them or something.

The only reason that you would have nuclear werpons would be to use them. why else would you have them. even if they are for protection you have to use them to protect themselves.

Ok, based on some of the things I have read, I just want to throw in that As far as killing goes...and just about anything for that matter...I don't believe everything is so black and white. If we just clumped things into two catagories without considering the details of each circumstance then I would hate to see what the world would be right now. I believe in a very beautiful grey area that allows us freedom of choice...as long as we can take responsibility for those choices...

And come on...despite wether anyone thinks he should be put to death or not...can anyone REALLY deny what he is at the core? Human rights aside, lets not fool ourselves. He is what he is reguardless of what anybody does with him.

Totally correct, only I didn't say she should die, remember??

Ok Allycat, the point I was trying to make was that everyone judges people. She's an actress, why would you want her to die? There two different situations. In my point of view Saddam needs to be punished for what he has done to all those people, but that's my opinion.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

I expressed myself wronly. The two kinds of judging are totally different, the first one is about trying to understand what people are like, the other one is about deciding what is good for people, what they deserve and what not.
