Saddest moments of Angel

i did a similar post on the buffy section and i was wondering what everyone else thought real teary moments, be nice to see the non obvious ones what effects didnt people

season 1 I will remember you when angel makes the choice to become a vampire again to save buffy, teary moment for me
hero doyles death was upsetin but wat upset me more was the video being played after, i feel i never really got enough chance to get to kno doyle for it to be a very sad moment
five by five the end when faith breaks down and wesley drops the knife
season 2 the trial quite a sad moment when angel is told all the facts and is still willing to give up his life for darla
season 3 sleep tight when wesley has his throat cut i was sure he was gonna die and the aftermath of the next episode when angel tries to kill him and fred tells him never to return and when hes being released and the doctor asked if he has anyone to contact
season 4 orpheus the whole episode really with faith inside angels mind very sad moments
season 4 home when angel reaslies he has failed connor and connors distraughtness and him going to kill himself cordelia and others
season 5 your welcome cordeillias shocking death after they think shes back and angels reaction
a hole in the world although i never really liked fred not because of the person but she kinda gets around (angel,gun,willow?noxx,wes) her death and the gangs reaction especially wesleys
underneath where gun gives up his life inorder to rescue lindsay to pay for his crime
the girl in question- when illyria pretends to be fred and wesleys reaction
not fade away wesleys death at the end and illyria turning into fred again for him
 
I think you already wrote down what i was going to say but i still wanna add Lullaby, when Darla gave up her life in order for Connor to be born and that part in Sleep Tight when Angel breaks down after Connor is taken by Holtz into Quor-toth. Those were pretty teary moments for me.
 
For me, it's the obvious.

Cordy's Death
Seeing Connor with his new family in Home
Fred's Death
Wes' death and Illyria pretending to be Fred.

NOTE: I've only seen S4, S5, and S1 until Hero. It was in that order too. I didn't cry for anyone except for Doyle though. Weird huh?
 
The scene at the end of Home in which Angel takes the limo to see Connor from a distance. He looks in on him and his happy life, the life he sacrificed so much to give him, but can never be apart of. When they cut back to Angel's reaction to Connor's happiness it just kills me.
 
The only really sad bits that got me in Angel were:

Seeing Doyle's video after he died, both times. His big death scene was fine, but that just twisted the knife.
When we found out that Fred's soul had been burned up in Illyria's ressurection. It was so final, and so unlike every other death in Angel.

The rest (except maybe IWRY, and possibly Lilah's sudden death) were all ok, mainly because of the darker tone and lack of a fixed character roster on Angel. Deaths and such hit home more often on Buffy because they weren't so frequent.
 
SO SAD!!!

1st i want 2 know that I haven't gotten very far in Angel as of yet but I did see season 1 I personally was this smiely ::crying2:::crying2: I wanted to tell you about my friend we were at camp and she was shooting hoops We were talking about Angel and we started talking about how incredible awesom Doyle is (was) I asked her what episode she was on and she said I will remember you you can imagine how I felt just then knowing the next episode She came to camp the next day and gave me a hug. We talked about Doyle alot to each other that day. Feel free to say we are sorry overreactors He can't compare to spike but he was still kind and cute and a good person.

I agree. The fact that people are still so hooked on Doyle even though he was only in 9 episodes proves what an amazing character he was.
There were so many sad moments in Angel. Why? Because Joss is sadistic and loves to kill characters as soon as something good happens to them.
Just see Dr. Horrible for an example of this.

But I've gotta say, the saddest moment was, without a doubt, Fred's death. It absolutely destroys me whenever I watch it. Whenever Fred and Wesley come onscreen in A Hole in the World, I just burst into tears, but for some reason, the saddest moment for me is when Wesley starts reading A Little Princess to Fred. Ugh, I'm tearing up just thinking about it!

After that would have to be Wesley's death. I guess it's just the Fred/Wesley romance that gets me (I'm the exact same way about Willow and Tara), but knowing that all Wesley wants to do is to be with Fred, even if it's not real, was absolutely heartbreaking. Luckily, I felt a lot better when Illyria crushed Cyvus Vail's skull. In that moment, all I could think was, "YAY!"
 
Saddest Moments to me in Angel were without a doubt Fred's death, Fred saying: ' Why cant I stay' and then Wesley crying over Fred's body, that part always makes me end up crying loads.

Of course Cordelia's death, as I mentioned in the ' Your Welcome' thread the part where she say's ' Il be seeing you' gets me everytime, and Angels face learning that Cordy has died 🙁.

Wesleys death - I unfortunatly knew this was coming as my friend decided to tell me about it accidently, so I was abit prepared for it, still managed to make me cry and when watched still does - I think its more the part when Illyria took Fred's form and they had that moment before he died which was most upsetting about it all.

of course there are a few more but these 3 have the ability to make me bawl my eyes out.
 
Fred's death basically killed me.
Also, when Wesley's dying and Illyria pretends to be Fred, that made me cry so, so much.
Seeing Doyles video was so upsetting I always loved his character. Was sad to see him leave so quickly.
 
umm in order of seasons
1. Hero - when doyle dies and then they see the video I will remember you - when he tells her about the whole vampire thing
2. when he says "you're all fired" oh and then "and yet somehow, I just cant seem to care"
3. Darla's death and then where connor gets taken
4. only seen some but so far, when gunn kills that guy, cordy saying "we were" to angel and then angel saying at the end of apocalypse, nowish "take your new boyfriend and get out"
 
I will remember you-It still ranks as my all time saddest tv moment ever. It tears your heart out and then dances all over it.

No Place like...-When Angel finds out Buffy is dead. The looks on his and Willows faces just kill me every time.

You're Welcome- Cordy is probably my fav to second favourite Whedon character ever and seeing her going out like that was awful. She deserved so much better and even at that her story wasn't finished. Bring Cordy Back!!!!!!

Cordy was awesome and although I like the episode You're Welcome her arc with Conner and Jasmine is the biggest mistake Whedon's ever made.
The deaths of Doyle, Fred, Wesley and Cordelia all get to me. It also breaks my heart to see Lorne become so depressed after Fred dies.

The Connor/Cordy/Jasmine...I cannot express how much I hated this arc. I can't watch season 4 because of it.
