Said to be a Goddess, but was she?

After invoking the power of the slayers to be in all the potentials,
Kennedy said to Willow, "you are a Goddess".
On the DVD's David Greenwalt said, "that he and the writers thought of Willow as being a Goddess".
Would you see that as acceptible ?.
At the time the actress said, "There's more in there folks". Would that have been a comment about another season ?, or, she could have done that scene better ?.
 
It seems obvious to me that Kennedy's remark to Willow was simply because she finally "got" it. She'd been getting little tastes of the magic since "Showtime," but this was the first time she'd really understood the extent of Willow's power.

As far as Alyson's comment, she was talking about tears:
Alyson Hannigan (Willow) told SCI FI Wire that she was crying in her final scene and afterward. "And they said, 'Well, that's a picture wrap,' and it was just like, 'Wow, there's more [tears] in there.' It just came spilling out. ... It was very, very bittersweet, an emotional day for everyone. Lots of tears, lots of hugs. ... It was great, though."

Is Willow a goddess? Well, there seems to be a great deal of ambiguity in the Buffyverse as to exactly what a "god" might be. Certainly, Glory was not all-powerful; Illyria was a god, but Angel's team was able to strip most of her (his?) powers.

Willow is certainly more than human, now. Maybe she does qualify. At least to the young woman who's in love with her.
 
isnt a god someone who's worshipped? didnt david greenwalt just mean willow was on par with the power of a godess. i agree that kennedys remark was more complimentary than factual.
 
I don't think that Willow was a goddess. True, she sent the power of the Slayer out to all the Potentials, and while this took a great deal of magical power and skill, she was also using the Scythe to channel the energy out to the Potentials, so the actual "Slayer Power" came from the Scythe. She was more of a goddess as Dark Willow in Season 6.
 
I too think that Kennedy was just being super-nice 😉

To qualify as a god/goddess you need to have some kind of immortality going on.

On Wikipedia it classifies Glory (Glorificus) as as god from a hell dimension. Illyria is classified as a Old One.
