Wow, I can't believe we don't have a thread for this episode! Here comes Faith- the Faith arc has some of the best season 4 episodes. I love how Faith is written on Angel- so much better than when she returns to Sunnydale after this. How come she instantly starts talking ghetto the minute she returns to Sunnydale? Big 'ole eyeroll about that. @@

1st of all I had no idea that it was a Bringer's knife that the woman in prison is trying to use on Faith until I read it online. I just didn't catch that. Then Wesley breaks her out, just in time: "Step away from the glass", then to Wesley "You okay?" Wes: "Five by five". I love that whole scene!!

The whole scene with Wesley & dead Lilah is so touching. It's amazing how that whole conversation in Wesley's head gives me a clearer idea of what must be done, and that people are worth second chances (something he's previously given up on).

And Faith and Connor, finally someone puts him in his place!

Angel's "Welcome Faith" sign had me totally ROFL! Although this episode is where his dialogue really goes downhill. He gets let out of the cage and becomes really lame. For example: "Ahh...crap. You mean killing the beast really brings back the sun? I thought that was Angel's retarded fantasy." or "You don't like lackey? How about uh; toady? or lickspittle? Ahh, lickspittle's nice. Oh wait, I got it, flunky! That's it! You're just a big, stupid, butt ugly, slow moving, flunky!" First of all, can I tell y'all how much I hate the term "retarded"? Very offensive to me. But mostly it's just lazy, there is so much better vocabulary out there to choose from.

Favorite quote: "It's like riding a biker." Sigh, oh Faithey....

I always felt that Faith was better in Angel than Buffy. She seemed to fit in better.

I miss her make up 🙁 Her dark eye shadow and bright red lip stick.

The Beast and Faith fight was great to watch and I didn't have a problem with what Angel was calling him. I thought he was very funny making the Beast all mad like that. Shame the Beast died so soon though....I think he's the best demon in the Buffyverse.

Connor getting put in his place was fun to watch and the music at the end of the eps when Cordy told Connor she's going to have a baby was creepy!

I think that the main reason that Faith seems more dynamic in this arc than she does when she returns to Sunnydale is that she still feels overshadowed by Buffy, for exactly the reason that Caleb stated. Buffy is considered "The One, The Only, Accept No Substitute, Slayer," while Faith is always "the other one." When they are together, there's always that comparison. Away from Sunnydale and Buffy's rather large shadow, she's "Faith, The Vampire Slayer," not the "other" Slayer.

Another great episode, this one. I liked seeing Faith back..I like her better on Angel. OMG...Cordelia's pregnant...that was really Charisma's pregnancy, wasn't it? Besides the creepy ending I liked Angelus in this episode, how he killed The Beast and all..also loved the Lilah and Wesley scene, it was so sad..what they could've had and they're never gonna know it.Really good episode, I enjoyed it.

I love love love this arch for Faith. I think it was her best arc on the show, save for Season 3 with the Mayor. 🙂
