Just watched the ep.

I thought it was pretty boring, but it was needed to move the story along..

and willow did the spell herself? how lame is that? 🙁

dammit, there were no weird robed guys killing girls this time.

funnny, funny, funny

Damn, when they said they were bringing back the old, funny Xander, they weren't kidding. He had me bustin out laughing. Matter of fact, I laughed out loud too many times to count this episode. Not to mention, Willow. Thank you for the Willow. I thought the villain was cool( made me think of Gollum), Spike was cool, and every part with Willow was cool. I think what I'm trying to say is that this episode was cool. I very much enjoyed the interaction between all of the characters, and I think the only thing that might have been missing was a little bit o' Giles. But other than that, this is my favorite episode of the season so far. Five stars.
 
I agree with Wildearhorn. This was a great episode, and I really enjoyed watching the group interact. It looks like Will and Anya will be able to help each other along their road to recovery (and Anya just might recover--YAY!!) The love the group has had for each other has always been endearing to me so it was very satisying to see that again. 🙂
 
Its willdearborn, Diminished_9th, but that's allright. Although Stephen King might get upset if he happens across this board. I thought the scene with Willow and Anya was pretty encouraging too. Especially with the way those two used to get along. Plus, that scene was funny as hell.

Funny Funny episode. "I'm insane, what's his excuse?"

OMG Dawn being paralyzed and opposable was awesome. Although the demon eating Alyson's stomach was rather disturbing. We didn't get to really see everyone's extended reaction to Willow being back, that was kinda disappointing. I'm sure we will in future episodes though. It was good to see Buffy and Willow together again, I've missed them being best friends.

Spike.. what can you say, James Marsters is playing this part with pure genius. I'm just amazed how he seems to jump back and forth from character to character.

It was also nice to have more of Anya. Her character always manages to crack me up.

We didn't get anymore glimpses of the killings or the big bad. So besides for Willow being back, the main story didn't progress much. Basically we were just reinforced with the idea Spike belongs with the looney toons. I still give it an 8 of 10 score. I'd like to have seen a little more build with what's coming, but it was certainly worth my 7-8:00 p.m. hour.

How fitting, that Willow's skin be under attack, considering what she did to Warren's skin last season...


And I whole heartedly agree, James Marsters' dementia is emmy deserving!!!
 
Yeah a bit of poetic justice maybe for Willow?

I loved that episode, what a great season! If this *is* the last season (knock on wood), it's doing a good job to make it memorable so far. I found myself laughing way too hard during this one, Xander was hilarious. Heck, Dawn was funny too! She's really coming along, I'm liking her character.

Anyone have any fav lines from the ep? Here's one I remember:

Anya: "Wouldn't it be strange if during the time you've been wasting your time talking with me and playing with your comically poseable sister, Willow was being eaten by that monster?"

Sure, it may not be an exact quote.. but Anya is just too cute ^_^

... the only thing I found myself dissapointed in was that the last episode ended with that awesome scene with Spike on the cross.. but this episode really didn't do anything with that. Will they maybe explain later?
 
Well, this episode I'm sort of at odds with. While being the most hilarious one in awhile, somehow it seemed a bit lacking to me. I'm not exactly sure why, thought. Skin-monster? Sort of squicked me at first, but when they showed the skinned body in the pit, I burst out "Re-used props! It's Warren!" That sent my friend cracking up, both times we watched the episode (Monday and Teusday nights. ^_^).

Quotes? Favourite ones are:
"I'm insane, what's his excuse?"
"Aaaaoooohhh! Hey look! That's me. Hello!"
"Maybe it's a vicious skin-eating rock cliff."
"Dark and dank... I was hoping it'd be dark and dank."

Spike, my God. I am loving James Marster's acting so far this season. It is genius. Although I would've liked to see some sort of continuation of what happened after the "hug the cross and get a huge-ass burn" scene.

Xander, I am fully loving him again. His quirky-ness was back in full-swing this episode and perfectly comic-ly timed.

I loved Dawn's "posable paralysis" and the fact that there was more Anya in this episode. She's one of my favourite characters.

Willow? I'm glad she's back, but sense things might be a little strained for awhile. And it is rather fitting the eating of the skin by the Gollum-wannabe.

All in all, I'd give it a 7/10.
 
Great episode. Loved It.

I loved Spike's line when he was helping them find skin monster:
"I'ms a good boy, carries his water, carries his sin. It's supposed to get easier, isn't it? Supposed to help to help, but it doesn't. It's still so heavy."

We don't really need any more conclusion from last episode, do we? Didn't Spike and Buffy say pretty much everything that needed to be said? Spike said she ran away, Buffy said that she just didn't know what to say and couldn't deal. Do you really need someone to draw you a picture of Buffy fleeing and deserting Spike to let him burn on the cross?

Oh, and what was with Anya saying that the spell was a little sexy? I just thought that was wierd...
 
Last night's ep was classic Buffy. That demon was so creepy!! Just the sound of his voice sends shivers down my spine!!😱 Spike really needs to get a handle on himself. If Angel sees him, he'll probably burst out laughing!!😛 Anyway, I liked last night's ep also. The poseable Dawn part was so funny and the discussion of if she had to vomit or not!! The way she keep trying to say that she wasn't going to vomit was so funny. It reminded me of the teacher on Charlie Brown!! Muh, Muh!!😛 😛

i love that line! i started laughing when spike said that! anyways, this was a pretty good ep. spike jumping between spike and then suddenly someone else, probably william (when he said that "glowing" had to rhyme with something) is starting to grow pretty evident here. and the whome demon-eating-skin was a little ewwy...but nothing i can't handle 😀 the dawn and vomit scene was pretty funny too. and of course, the emotional reunion with willow---darn, that was a good scene!
 
Way better than the season opener and the 2nd ep. Willowness, Anya's silliness, Xander's funniness, Buffy's seriousness, and Dawn's 😱 non-whininess. Okay, so that last one isn't a real word; get over it! Goodness...🙄
 
Last night's episode was fantastic. Definitely classic Buffy. I also thought of Gollum when I saw the demon. What a cool demon!

I loved how they showed Spike talking to Willow in the basement, then they showed him having the exact same conversation with Buffy and Xander. I thought it was brilliant to see how Spike's dialouge applied to both of the conversations. I thought that was positively brilliant.

I'm loving insane Spike. Does anyone else think that Spike is dropping us hints on the big bad in his ramblings? I'm starting to wish I wrote everything down that he's been saying, since I'm starting to think he's been dropping us clues. And what was with his reference of "glowing"? Was he actually referring to Dawn?

All around, it was a great episode. I agree with Stake'em & Smile that it was a bit disappointing not to learn anything more on the storyline with the girls. I give this episode an 8.

A little late on the review, but anyway...great ep. The whole Anya/Willow talk was hillarious and Spike in the basement, just wow. Kudos on the great tie-ins where Willow, Buff, and Xander were. Best line: "I know I'm insane; what's your excuse?". Once again, I will say, this is a great episode.
 
I thought this episode was hysterical and disgusting. The Gnarl upset me a little when he ripped off Willow's skin and stuck it in his mouth, ewwwwwww. But the rest of the episode was excellent. I agree with everyone on James Marsters acting shown so far, he has been excellent.

I liked Dawn in this episode alot, even before she became paralyzed😀 I think her character is going to get less whiny as the season goes, she was funny researching the demons.

Xander is back to himself which I'm glad to see, and Anya was funny with Willow. I thought it was hysterical when Anya was worried about performing spells with Willow out of fear it might get a little sexy, (like Tara and Willow).

Overall, an excellent episode, I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
 
Buffy keeps getting better. Each episode was better then the last, so far this season. I loved this episode, it was funny, and gross, and sweet, and serious ALL at the same time. All those quotes mentioned were really classic. Most characters seem to be improving within their lives, Dawn isn't annoying, Willow is trying, Buffy is stable, Xander is sucsessful, Anya is adorable! Spike is totally insane, but James does it so well, it makes the character so much more fascinating. I give the episode 9/10.
