my favorite line of this entire episode, loved hearing Angel say it. Along with "Go Home!"

all the Bangel angst/bickering made watching this one a bit of a chore. Not a bad eppy, just didn't like as much as Five by Five.

Buffy is a bit of a pain in this episode, but in fairness, Angel acts pretty stupid when he follows her back to Sunnydale in Buffy season 4 as well. Though his insults towards Riley are kind of funny.

Wes is great in this episode though. I like his outrage about how Faith is being treated after torturing him, but how he goes ahead and sides with Angel against his former Watcher crew anyway.

I was suprised to hear Wesley drop the B-word.

Yeah, it was nice to see Angel stand up to Buffy. Although, Revolver is right about him following Buffy home. But, he's whipped so what do you expect...

The Slayer definitely is Angel's Achilles Heel.

Plus he did get all WHINEY about her relationship with Spike in the final season.

Hahaha, don't get all Dawson on me! Classic.

I think Angel was great because in their own respective cities, they act like they're the king (or queen) and I think they need that. I think they need ownership in their own domain, as Buffy said at the end of season 7...I know if this gets past Sunnydale you'll cut it off.

It's like second in command.

didn't watch "Angel" during it's network run, currently viewing the 1st season. Guess it made sense for Buffy to decline his offer to fight beside her in Sunnydale.

Angel probably had a fully equipped team to take up the fight(If necessary) in L.A. at that point.

I'm probably one of the few people who sided with Buffy in that episode, or at least didn't have a problem with what she said/did.

I think its understandable how Buffy acted in this. But still, she was kinda in the wrong. I loved seeing Angel tell her how it is.

I thought Angel had the right to tell Buffy like that, she did just storm in and assume wrong. Ok in ways she had a right after what Faith had done but I felt at times she couldn't swallow her pride and see that Angel really was helping Faith. I think though Buffy & Angel were still working on the kinks of how to be friends without storming in to each others lives as they realised when Angel followed he could have apologised by phone. At least by the end they had come to a common ground and understanding of the fight and working together and seperately without stepping on one another.

I agree, though I tend to be on Buffy's side a lot, I understand Angel's side as well.

Buuut, it's not surprising that Buffy flipped since Faith just spent the past couple weeks terrorizing Sunnydale, stealing her body, AND sleeping with her boyfriend? Well, I'd be pissed too to see my ex-hunny coddling the murderer who just tried to ruin my life.

😉

How could Angel ever betray Buffy? Tonight it's a matter of FAITH

Something that I noticed in this episode (and no, I'm not trying to get another Angel/Spike debate going) was that her reaction to Angel slapping her (utter shock and almost fear) was almost identical to how she acted 2 seasons later on her own show when Spike hit her in "Smashed," and in both cases, she hit them first. Apparently Buffy feels that it's okay to slap her men around, but it's just unthinkable that they might retaliate in kind. Just another one of those double standards that seem to abound in the Buffyverse.

I love Buffy, I adore her, but everytime I'm watching this episode I'm thinking what a bitch. The things she said.. it was just bad, very very bad. But I guess she was just angry. So is he. But the only difference is that he was telling the truth. But, Angel did went to Sunnydale in The Yoko Factory to talk to her 😀

Okay, there were times in BTVS when I didn't like Buffy. I mean she can be really bossy at times, but overall she's not that bad. But always when she's on Angel she does something that makes me think: That girl is maybe even worse than Cordelia was.

I was mostly busy thinking what Faith was doing in the jail so I didn't pay attention what Angel and Buffy were talking about. Hello, I wouldn't be able to see Faith in both series for who know how long. 😀

Anyway, above is just kidding. I already posted my thought in other thread. 🙂

8/17/09 - 8/23/09 Episode Discussion: Sanctuary - Buffy-Boards

This episode is my fav of those 4 Faith arc episodes. I'll never get bored watching it. We saw the new Faith for the first time. And Angel is the right person to help her. It's funny to see Buffy being b*tchy and not listening to anyone. My favorite scenes have to be when Wesley walked downstair with Faith and said "Faith's changed her plan" and then he told Angel he trusts him. Another scene is when Buffy saved Faith from that guy from the Counsil. Oh, and I felt like Angel is Faith's big brother for the first time and I still feel like that. 🙂

I like that episode an Faith's struggle for redemption!
I understood what Buffy felt when she saw Faith with Angel...after everything Faith has done to her she had the right to be angry!
BUT: she did behave to Angel like a bitch...i mean come on,she has someone new in her life...why on earth she tells Angel that???because she knew that this would certainly hurt him the worst way...and when Angel got mad in the end and he said "go home" i was at his side!!! and Angel was right! She DID hit him first!anyway things were pretty complicated!
