Gellar 'felt degraded' After Sex Scenes

Sarah Michelle Gellar says she was shocked by sex scenes in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.


She claims some of the scenes were like a bondage movie, reports the Daily Star.

"It became very S&M and I felt degraded as an actress," Gellar tells this month's Elle magazine.

The 27-year-old actress says the series left her bruised and tired.

"It was exhausting - physically and emotionally," she says. "There were at least two fight scenes in every episode. I never wore skirts for years because of all the bruises."

Yet at times she said she liked the fighting and scars are sexy. I like SMG but seems a bit contradictory.

I cant see how it was like S&M, I mean it was seen that Spike was holding handcuffs but no handcuffs being used were seen. Otherwise kissing, and the aftermath of sex.
 
In a previous interview SMG complained specifically about the sex scene with Spike in the loft of the Bronze. She felt it was out of character for Buffy to allow Spike to denigrate her like that.

I've never heard her complain about the Spike rape scene specifically. That one was so integral to so much of what happened afterward.

The one I hated was the scene from Him when Buffy was a school counselor and she seduced one of her students. I don't care if she was under an enchantment. I don't want to watch my hero behave like that. I think it was just thrown in there to give teenage boy viewers a cheap sex fix.

Perhaps...in a "Dude, Where's My Car", boob-joke, kind of way. I didn't get it. Maybe that's another reason I hated that ep. The humour went under my head.

I hated that scene😡...it was terrible...I still have nightmares::crying::

I'm 13 years old of course i'm going to find something like that and that episode hilerious! lol hehehehe lol
 
All of these Spuffy scenes were too much for me.I understood Buffy's reasons for having sex with Spike(partially at least), but still I sometimes felt as if it was just a publicity stunt..To give sth for male viewers
 
i agree that the sex scenes were a litlle too mutch...and i'm a spuffy shiper..but i think james M. have much moro to complain than SMG..he was always naked in the scenes where her was dressed most of the times...
 
SMG didnt say that she hated fight scenes just that they left her with bruises and she didnt wear a lot of skirts after that, doesnt mean she hates them.

I can understand what she says since Spuffy sex scenes in S6 probably didnt leave you feeling good, and SMG and Joss did get in a lot of arguments over these things since SMG didnt like how Buffy was acting. So it makes sense.
