So, I just happened to see Sarah Michelle in her Burger King commercial and was absolutely shocked that she was sue by MacDonald. Okay, sue the firm who diffamed you. But suing a 4 years old kid? That's just...Wah. It's you know. I can't find a word to express how much it shocked me they sued her and forbid her to go into Macdonald unless she was disguised.
It's also amazing that she didn't go all Lindsaylohany after going through that so young.

Oh I also saw this Buffy commercial, which I like!

And, last point...I think she should still make commercials.

The colour was a bit dark for her, but she gave a whole different image of make up commercial. She's so fresh and shiny and nice-looking. I think nowadays, commercial are more and more all about the glamour and the sexiness, and the oh-so-photoshoped. She was just perfect, all peppy!
 
I was shocked when I heard that for the first time too. But you know, business is cold and cruel, they don't really care if it's a 4 year old saying those words, it was all about Burger King. She was sooo cute in that commercial and also the Maybelline one...I've always loved it..she looked so beautiful.
 
Was the Buffy Christmas special thing... was that Amends? That just feels like an awful episode to be "a Buffy Christmas" special because people outside of the show wouldn't have the emotional connection to such an emotional episode... When an episode is advertised as a Christmas Special generally they're trying to draw people who don't already watch the show to watch this episode and get into it.... but I'm not sure that would work with an episode like Amends... Maybe I'm thinking too far into it...

If the Burger King commercial wasn't for Burger King, I'd love all three!

Yes, it was filmed for and aired during "Amends". I actually remember that commercial very well. :D
I remember when I heard about this, when I was younger, I used to be mad at McDonalds and said I wouldn't buy there (SMG fan here), only at Burger King. So since then I became a vegie, AND they opened McDonalds right near my house. So what can you do....
 
I've heard about McDonalds thing long time ago, actually that was one of the first things that I came to know about Sarah. I actually stopped going there, but that lasted only for few months because I love those ice cream of theirs!

I was about 8 when she did Maybelline adds, so I didn't used make up then. Thank God, my mom did, and I actually made her buy it! When she wasted it, she gave it to me.. I still keep it in my memory box 🙂 LOL!
 
I was shocked to find out she got sued. Why sue the actor and not the franchise?! WTF... But my gosh, she was SO cute! 😀

I remember those Buffy Christmas commercials and the Maybelline one from when they first aired... I used to save all the magazine ads I found with SMG promoting Maybelline, even though I'm not a huge fan of Maybelline's makeup. 😉 But yeah, the Buffy Christmas ads were shot while they were filming "Amends" and used as part of a promotion to win a walk-on role on the show. It was a pretty cool promo, but I liked the Barq's Rootbeer ones from the year before. 😀

How could I forget! I never use make up, yet I bought Maybelline make ups! Being a fan can make you go crazy sometimes. And I have to say, I wasn't too satistied with that make up. But Sarah looked so good at those commercials!

I don't remember quality of it, I just know I have some empty bottels of mascara, lip gloss and foundation. Wow, it was a long time ago:D
"Unbelievable!" Aww, she was so cute. 🙂 She looked lovely in the Maybelline commercial! I've always loved commercials by Maybelline. 😀
 
Oh my gosh, she is SO adorable in that BK commercial!!! 😀 Not a huge fan of her bangs in the Buffy Christmas promo though. But she totally rocks the Maybelline one!!! 😀

Did they sue both the corporation or just Sarah? If not the franchise, very dumb move by the lawyers!
 
Thanks for sharing those with us Ms.Trick 😉 I had never seen the Christmas special... And SMG look really cute in that first one, haha!

It was the first time that opponent said the name of rival company, as being better.. you know that there's always for example, Vanish and some other detergent.. they never give name of a rival.. I don't know why they sued her too, probably just because she was a part of it.

I remember her saying in few interviews that when her friends were having birthdays in McDonalds her mom dressed her in a big hat and sunglasses and coat because she said "When I want to show McDonalds how to feel, I go to Burger King."


Plus, I can't find this video anywhere.. and I know I saw it couple of years ago. Sarah did an Avon commercial in the begining of 90's I think. Has anyone seen the video?
 
Aha yeah me too, this was one of the many things i first ever learnt about Sarah. I did a project on her when i was 9/10 yearold in school. haa!

Oh and i actually remember the Ad being on tv at the time and the exact lipstick/lipgloss she used! Because my mum bought the same pink one. Ha i always remember,it was like the brightest shade of pink ever!

That makes that they sued both if it was the first time a competitor said another competitor's name in the ad. The lawyers most likely wanted to sue anyone involved to cover their tracks. If they didn't and tried to sue later, the case could have been precluded because they sued the wrong party in the original suit.

wow! I haven't seen those advertisements before!!! I really liked the Buffy christmas ad! I had seen the Burger King one! She was one of the cutest little girls ever!🙂 And I think I remember the Maybelline one...Sarah is gorgeous!
