Sarah's movies (Horror movies in point)

"Southland Tales" is one of a few movies Sarah was in that didn't do too well yet critics credited how good Sarah was in it.

While I enjoy majority of her movies, I wish she would start doing more high profile movies again. There are plenty of movies where she wouldve been great in, and maybe it is even time for her to start picking up some romantics again (though I know she said she would never do another one after SI). And i wish she didnt turn down some big movies (like X-men)

I never knew she turned down X Men. Perhaps she thought a role in that would have been too similar to Buffy.

Possibly Rogue, Storm or Jean? I think she could have played those characters really well.

lol well Storm is black so that would be a no. She was considered for the role of Rogue.

I could definately see her as Rogue, would have been great to see her play that role. Anna Paquin portrayed Rogue really well though in fairness.

Reading the replies to this board, I can totally tell I'm in the minority. So I'm almost scared to share my opinion 😛

I LOVE Sarah in Buffy, I think she did great. And of course she's a beautiful woman.
But.. Whenever I see her in anything else, I can't really take her acting seriously. Not because she's been typecast in my mind as Buffy, but just because I don't think she's that strong of an actress. [hides]

I saw Cruel Intentions; one of my favorite movies. And even though she did pretty well as Katherine, I just... idk. I didn't really think she shined as much as people say she does.

I am, however, desperately wanting to see Veronika Decides to Die. I read the book a couple years ago and love it. Sarah with dark hair is almost exactly how I pictured Veronika to look.

I love Sarah in everything she does. I still find myself yelling at her in her big chase scene in I Know What You Did Last Summer, to just stop looking back and f**king run. Alas, she has yet to follow my advice.

I think that Sarah is very serious about wanting to be a legitimate actor, not just the girl who gets killed by the stalker, or who stakes the vampires, but the problem is that she did such memorable jobs in creating those types of roles that it's hard for her to get cast as anything else, and, when she finally does get something different, like "Simply Irresistible," it's hard to get a large portion of the audience to accept her as that character.

I just saw "The Grudge" and i enjoyed it even though i found it really strange. I know that's probably the purpose of horror movies but its not a genre i usually watch.

Sarah looked really cute and i love what she did with her voice. As always her acting was faultless. No one can question that she is a very talented actress.

But she goes for the horror roles constantly, and she said she didnt want to do romantic movies after SI. But she can do plenty of things mainstream but seems like she doesnt want to.

white avenger agrees: And Nick Fury was white, but I don't see anyone complaining about Samial L Jackson getting the part.

They had already made Nick Fury black in the comics for the Ultimateverse. So its a bit different, espically when he isnt half as big as Storm is.
