This was a film, and julie benz was one of the co-stars! Has anyone seen it too? It also stars ex-charmed star "shannen doherty".
I assume she did it before buffy/angel, at a pure guess.
I personally wasnt that impressed with the film, any of the stars, or her. Im saying this as a dedicated buffy/angel obsessor and a beloved charmed fan.
Julie, who oozes grace and charm as darla, never really fitted soft-spoken evil "one of 'THE FIVE girls".
Anyone, those were all my opinions - id like to hear some of yours please!?

I have seen both versions of the film the 1973 movie which i enjoyed and the 2000 version to which this thread talks about. The 2000 version was not good at all.
 
Glad you agree! Julie didnt fit the role! Not that the role/lines were good anyway . . .

The '73 version starred Kate Jackson & Cheryl Ladd (I originally thought it was Jaclyn Smith but it was Cheryl). I haven't seen it, but would love to as I love Charlie's Angels. I saw the recent one about a week ago & I wasn't too impressed with any of the performances, it was pretty weak. It was pretty cool that Kate Jackson had a role in it though🙂

Julie Benz is in her element as Darla, but she was also great in Jawbreakers😀
 
It's a bit of a B-list movie but it's quite good. It also stars Rose McGowan 🙂

Her portrayal of Darla is so good though! I completely hated her (in a love-to-hate kinda way) but still found myself crying my eyes out in Lullaby. I like her best in flashbacks when she is really evil though!
 
I loved that film because I love shannen, but well, I have to admit it was rather stupid 😉 but Shannen made it worth watching 😀

Shes just classy as Darla!
"rather stupid"?! Too right it was! Lol.
 
I don't remember too much as I only saw it once AGES ago, but Jawbreakers is about a group of popular girls in school who play a trick on one of their friends on her birthday. They "kidnap" her, tie her up and gag her but she dies (coz she choked on a gobstopper/jawbreaker that they used to gag her with) and although it was an accident they try to cover it up.

I don't really remember what goes on from there but it is a black comedy really - not horror or anything. Rose is the main character and Julie Benz is also a main part (one of the popular girls).

I may have to see it again actually to refresh my memory 🙂

I only watched it because it was on Sky a few weeks back & there wasn't much better on! It was out of interest really as I like Shannen & Julie so I wanted to see it for that reason. It is a pretty weak film & I think it was just made for TV or something.

If you stumble across it in the TV guide you may as well watch it but it isn't worth much more of your time really!!!

It isn't THAT bad (although our 'glowing' reviews suggest otherwise), it just isn't anything special!!
 
LOL! OK I give in - it is THAT bad!! The only redeeming feature is seeing a few of your favourite actors in it & even then it isn't particularly worth your while!!! 🙂
 
i have seen jawbreakers, satans school for girls, the relevant rosewell episodes (at least most of them), and shreik if you know what i did ;ast friday the 13th, Buffy and Angel. I have also seen as good as it gets but i didn't spot her in that.

The only really quality stuff shehas done out that lot was buffy and Angel. It seems she needs the just right role for her in order to do well at it. Apparentl she will be in george of the jungle 2 aswell. interesting
 
George of the jungle?! Ok, lol, i think she needs to hire me to sort out which roles to take!!! Lol.
