Ahhh! This is so great, but what exactly are the Saturn Awards? Since 'Buffy' and 'Angel' are nominated so many times, it must be something great.😉
 
Oh, cool! IMO, Buffy and/or Angel should win in almost all of them, but I bet Smallville and X-Files will get a lot...

What network are these awards gonna be shown on?
 
Where do they announce these? I've heard about them a lot since I've been in this fandom, and I want to know if they have a website or something. Charmed should definitely get nominated. 🙂 I wish all of them luck! Let's hope they win!

I really hope that all the people nominated for Buffy wins. They're obviously not getting recogniton from the emmys ::fire:: So at least other awards shows give them the recogniton they deserve. Are they going to show it on TV? 😕

I know! The emmys ::fire:: - i started a thread on this ridiculous refusal fromt he old-fashioned idiots at the emmys!

I hope that Michael Rosenbaum gets the award for supporting actor. He has done a great job as Lex Luthor and has brought great things to that series. Certainly more than i feel James has brought to Buffy. I've seriously gone off Spike this season, i used to enjoy his scenes but now they tend to annoy me.
 
The biggest fight is certainly between James Marsters and Michael Rosenbaum, the other catergorys are quite easy to predict...this one though isn't, both have been absolutely brilliant in the last year.
 
I dont watch Smallville, so i cant say. Can you describe his role very briefly please, and the show?
Faith, why have you gone off james? Or is it just spike? I think he (spike and james) has brought great things to buffy and i think hes fabulous! He is still one of my fav characters and actors. I am not a Buffy/Spike shipper, but i ::heart:: ALL of what he has brought to buffy this season and, indeed, in them all.
So what Saturn Awards has buffy/angel won in the past?

Michael plays the younger Lex Luthor, Supermans enemy. Its hard to explain, to understand you would have to catch an episode. He just fills the role of Lex extremely well and you get to see how he ends up like he did in the movies.

The reason i've gone off Spike is that i think that there is nothing left for the character to do. The new Spike isn't as interesting as the previous one. He's had his time and its about time he moved on.
 
Thats very cool that both Buffy and Angel where nominated for so much stuff, and hopefully they will win something. They definatly deserve some award for the hard work they've been doing for years.
 
I know, I can't believe BtVS/Angel haven't yet received at least one Emmy! 😡 To my knowledge, the only episode nominated was Hush and that should have definitely won. But it's great that they were nominated for so many different titles at The Saturn Awards. I hope they win most of those, they certainly deserve to. 😀
 
I agree, flammable! Its a disgrace about the Emmys! I started a thread on this awful fact!

Faith, i dont think spike is worse than his previous 'version' - i think we are just seeing a totally different spike, not necessarily a bad one. I think james is fab and i like spikes kick ass 'tude, i think he brings a lot to the show!

I hope buffy and angel get some official recognition in the Saturn awards. I know they continually lose out at the Emmy's but from what I gather the Emmy's are a rather traditional establishment, and they really have an aversion to newer genres that buffy and angel fall under.

Faith: I think I know what you mean about Lex Luther, I've only seen one episode, and even thought I didn't like it overall, his character was *amazing*.

Thank you 🙂 Finally someone here who agrees with me that Michael has done a great job so far as Lex!! Its the finale on Wednesday and its going to be a good one where no doubt he will shine again!!
