Question Say anything's possible; Who should Angel be with?

That's because he got his own show. He got to be the center of attention. In BtVS that was Buffy. He got a lot more lines, and we got to know him more on Angel. But we are not talking about characters growth, arn't we? We are here talking about love. Yes many people helpped him, but probably, if he never saw Buffy, if Whistler never showed him Buffy, he would still be on Manhattan eating rats. In some other situation maybw that push would be something else, but it was Buffy, and that's normal, because on her the show is based on.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. I'm not talking about Angel becoming the centre of attention, I'm talking about him becoming more friendly, jokey and amicable.

Bangel was characterized by pain and loss. Every few and far between "happy" moment that had was overshadowed by huge traumatic events (losing his soul and trying to kill her and her friends, stabbing him and sending him to Hell, coming back from Hell a feral animal....etc). Sure, they were very much in love, but Angel knew they were wrong for each other, and he made the right decision by leaving. Just because two people are in love does not mean they are compatible in the long run.

Cordelia and Ange's relationshipl, on the other hand...was something truly beautiful. I don't think it was forced at all. For me, it was perfectly natural. Here was two friends who grew to love each other. Happens everyday. Cordelia, as you say, could make him smile, and she kept him on track with his mission. Cordelia made him a better person, as did Buffy.

I don't think that Angel loved Cordelia more then he loved Buffy back when him and the later were together, though. Buffy was his first love, the women who inspired him to be the Hero he is today. He'll always have a place in his heart for her, I think. He loved Cordelia as much but in a different way, I think. He called Cordelia his "dearest" friend. He never called Buffy his friend. But I guess that's for another thread... *cough*

I'd pick Cordelia. Their relationship was more mature and dare I say, realistic? I'm a fan of realistic. Plus I hate Buffy post-season 5 and I wouldn't want to subject Angel to that.

Oh gosh, there are so many awesome Angel- Centric choices! Honestly, I 'ship most people with Angel. Lindsey/ Angel is awesome, Lilah/ Angel, Spangel, Dangel, Cangel, etc... I really only dislike Nangel and Bangel. But anyway.

Dangel: Really, what can you say? I'm not exactly sure why I like it, because it has none of the characteristics of 'ships I USUALLY enjoy. But at the same time, that's exactly it: Dangel is incredibly unique. I've honestly never seen a 'ship like Dangel before. Plus, I'm totally in love with both characters, and they (IMO) have a lot of chemistry. It's so interesting and different, with so much history... Plus, it's always exciting, because something new is ALWAYS happening. Also, it's pretty controversial, so you never really know what they're thinking... 😀 And, I believe that you can really see the love there. Like, it was obvious that Darla loved him and thought him to be her soulmate, and really, in Lullaby when he's holding her hand then she stakes herself and he's left holding nothing is one of the most heartbreaking scenes EVER. 🙁

Mmm, Spangel... I love both the characters (although Ats S5 Spike does bother me), they're totally sexy together, they bicker, but you know that underneath it all they love each other, they're family, which isn't QUITE as odd as it sounds, they're fun, they're tough, they're compatible, they work amazingly well together, they have TONS in common, and they know each other better than anyone.

Cangel, my oldest yet newest love. Honestly, I don't see how it's possible to NOT fall in love with Cangel, it's so sweet and beautiful. Like, in the beginning, Cordy was this ditsy cheerleader who was pining for Angel, but who, of course, Angel wouldn't look twice at. They meet again several years later, Cordy a mature, intelligent yet still spunky young woman, and Angel... Well, some things never change. 😀 So they meet, and decided to form a business together. They become co-workers and start to form a friendship. Within a year they're best friends and know most everything about each other. Angel broke a deadly killer out of hell to save her, and Cordy led herself to an almost certain death by kissing him to take the pain away. When Angel went into his "vision withdrawals" and went crazy, it wasn't because he couldn't stand the visions, it was because he didn't Cordelia there with him. You could see that they really honestly loved each other, and they were equals. That is a beautiful thing, and I'm SO glad they gave us You're Welcome. But still, it's kinda depressing, because they were never "actually" together, but still. I think that fact makes the relationship even MORE beautiful. 😀

I voted Bangel cause Angel became who he was cause of Buffy..plus i've always been a fan of whats the original..maybe I'll change my mind when I watch my Angel Seasons

Personal choice here, where should the vampire be? With the annointed, and where the annointed is.
If Angelus had any input, probably Darla and Drusilla. But definitely not that bloody slayer.
