Hi guys, I've never joined a message board before, at least not one I actually have plans on being a frequent on user, so here it goes 🙂 I am digital native but really not too savvy, I've never operated a blog or website, well maybe one, yes, a Buffy one and it was purely photographs, ha didn't even remember that until now. I mostly use the computer for fun things like movies and music so since I'm here, anyone available for tutelage? be my Giles! Just say yes! I joined because I always say to myself, what is the point? I am most definitely, completely and absolutely finally finished, finished! watching Buffy & Angel!..... lol except that literally never happens, very much unlike computer games and video games, watching Buffy is never a waste of time as I am always learning something new from it, the enjoyment never diminishes either but more importantly I am always getting something different from my engagement with it, a sign of a great work of art. I grew up with the show or I might say the show grew up with me, it is a part of me in good way there aren't a lot of things in life you can say that about, not only in the art realm. I think, actually I know I will have more watchings in store in the fure now I am going to explore every comic book I can get my hands on! including more theory and academic type stuff, I get so much of it and it leads to discovering other works of literature as well.

Here's a question who are your favourite and least favourite characters?
 
Hi there! what kind of introduction is that, I totally forgot to add my favorite characters which are as follows, formerly it was Faith, without a doubt, no contest, love me a good underdog and as a eleven year old, I always did love teen flicks about bad girls, currently I love Dawn (and I despised her when I was actually her peer) as I get older. she looks younger and as consequence ironically I just understand her more and I love how she represents Buffy's human half and vulnerability. My favorite on Angel is Gunn and I think he is not many people's favorite, first Dawn & Gunn were my least favorites out of all of them now they are my favorites, guess what they say about a thin line between love and hate is true. I did have a problem with his less developed complexity compared to the other characters but now in retrospect, I do like and appreciate his vanilia qualities, he is just a all around upstanding guy like Xander. What honestly made me realize I like him is somebody suggesting he get turned into a vampire and I had such a visceral reaction I think I even went "Noooooo!" out loud ha ha, I dislike thinking about that happening to him out of every Angel character the most.

Did I answer my least favorite too? Hmm, you get something new out of it every time, like Darkwillow written great and all, the first time her intense grief was very sympathetic and you tend to love people who love intensely but on my recent watch I found the way she rationalized (and Willow is a very rational person) her actions very untenable and disreputable, precisely because she was capable of more only not willing (until the end) didn't expect that to dislike her, never had that reaction first watch.

Least favorite on Angel: Knox, hands down, caught me off guard too, barely noticed him first watch but he just really curdles the second, absolutely perverted and horrible.

Buffy S3 as a child, S5 as a adult and not sure about it being behind S1&2 but S7 was on the lower end, I appreciated the depth S6 but I think S7 is appreciating in value to overtake it, might even be in the top 3 after finished latest watch. I have a feeling this Q is coming next, favorite episodes are Becoming Part 2, Graduation Part 2, Chosen, and purely sentimentally, "Welcome To The Hellmouth"

Angel S1 and first half of S2, but my S1 and first half of s2 are only my favorite watching the seasons out of order. Does that make sense? s1 is a difficult entry point much like Buffy comic S8 for a reference but if you are like me and watched Angel end of S3 then 4 and 5, going back S1&2 are infinitely more enjoyable if you already the characters.

Hi Meliza, Im Cordeliagirl and Welcome to Boards. Who is your favorite Character and Couple?, mine is Cordelia and Cander Couple (Xander/Cordelia).
 
Hm, well, the true answer is Buffy (always Buffy!) I said Dawn but I think of Buffy & Dawn as a unit which is fitting thinking of it.

M favorite couple is... Buffy & Angel but I'm not a Bangel..(anymore) if that's possible. My second favorite is Buffy & Riley.. I think he was really good for Buffy and that relationship needed to happen and she grew out of it much like with Spike.. but this was gentler and kinder, similar to Angel, except not true love material..is it strange/nonsensical to think Bangel was true love but it's good their not together? my feelings mirror exactly where the characters are. I don't go for doomed love affairs (I did, except I didn't, Bangel were star crossed lovers except in the end, not doomed at all because they sacrificed for each other, ultimate true love )

Ok I am probably boring ranting now but since I don't go for the doom & gloom, let's say my favorite love story of any season is Buffy & Dawn.

Non-Canon wise: Giles & Willow, remember she did have a crush on him! it wouldn't be a hot&steamy thing at all! it would be old fashioned and quiet, old friends who become a couple and seem like they've been married forever, a Jane Austen type thing (I get overzealous with typing with you haven't noticed yet)
