Scariest Buffy Episode

I'm gonna post mine after I make a poll and analyze the episodes. 🙂

my scariest buffy epi (as ive said before) is "killed by death." der kindestod is the freakiest, scariest, nastiest demon in my mind.

i think its due to WAY too many "childhood traumas" involving freddy krueger.

OMG! I can't decide between Passion, Hush, Helpless, and Normal Again! ARGH!!!!!! I'm voting for... Hush.

Because The Gentleman are scarier than any other demon in the Buffyverse.

Hush is scary, it certainly is and scared the crap out of me the first time or two i saw it. But Normal Again unnerves me like no other episode. The uncertain note it ends on is just...whoa. LOVE it.

and Senior Watcher, you're not alone. My brother also finds Killed by Death extremely creepy and i think it's his favorite episode.... and i think its because of the Freddy-look alikeness too.

Oh and also he tells me it's because he specifically goes for kids, and that freaks him out.

Hard to choose, Hush, Conversations with Dead people, Killed by Death and Normal Again are all the scariest 😛
The first three horror stuff was scary! I think the scenes with Dawn in Conversations with dead people was the most frightening horror wise for me. Normal again took me a few times to be able to watch the whole ep. But I voted Hush as that's pretty scary and a great episode too! Kids with rhymes are scary!

None of the episodes scare me anymore, but when I was younger Killed By Death scared the heckk outta me 😛

Killed by Death made me jump the first time I saw it. I mean Der Kinderstod is so horrifically Elm Street type creepy so I was like 'Argh!' and then Hush had them same Creepy-Make-Me-Jump factor. The Gentlemen STILL freak me out a little. And the insane asylum guys that walk in front of them with their arms waving? Then send this chill down my back. I think the fact that they're completely silents adds to the freak-out.
But I voted Conversations with Dead People just for the Dawn scenes. I still can't watch those scenes on my own unless it's in broad daylight in a nice well-lit living room. At night and on my own? Not so much. It's just entirely twisted and freaky. I mean 'Mother's Milk is Red Today'? How can that not scare the crap outta someone? Haha. Jane Espenson must have been taking Twisted Pills that day....

Yeah, I just recntly watched Convos With Dead People and "Mother's milk is red today" freaked the hell outta me. I was like:

"Killed by Death", no contest. Even to this day, I can't watch the scenes when Der Kindertod gets ready to feed through its eyes. :aah::hidesofa: The only look-away-from-the-screen scene I can think of in the run of the series atm, so that beats everything else.

Killed By Death is pretty freaky and so is Hush. They both scared the crap out of me the first time. I think I'm going to pick Killed By Death though, because Hush also amuses me with the whole overhead presentation thing. It always startles me when one of the Gentlemen floats by Gile's window, but going after little children- freaky.

Actually one of the freakiest episodes to me isn't on the list- Same Time, Same Place. I hate how that monster can seperate you from normal time and how it just slowly feeds off of strips of its victims skin while they are still alive. i can't even watch that one.

I voted for Hush, just because that one shot of the Gentlemen in the window was probably the only moment that actually made me jump. Killed by Death was in second place, though, just because it never gets less scary, no matter how many time you watch it. But I agree with Joyce and The Ferg...even though Conversations with Dead People wasn't that scary overall, "Mother's Milk is Red Today" was really creepy. How did Jane think of that?!

But, if we're talking about which episode disturbed you the most/made you the most uncomfortable, I'd say Bad Eggs, just because giant bugs freak me out so much.

lol, that reminds me of when I listen to the Hush Suite on the OMWF Soundtrack. Everytime I listen to it I think of the Gentleman waving their arms and floating all creepy-like.

Listening to Fear, is frightening me cause Buffys mum is on all thoose pain killers and it reminds me of my mum being like that when i watching buffy kinda sets me off a bit x

I voted Killed By Death, because I remember being completely freaked by it, even though I haven't seen it in a long time. I considered Hush, because, well, The Gentlemen and that song the little girl sings in the beginning, but I appreciate Hush more for the way it was made than how scary it was. Killed By Death isn't as overall impressive, it's just creepy.

I do agree about Dawn's scenes in Conversations With Dead People though. I fell asleep during that episode once (it was very early in the morning), and woke up again when things were flying everywhere and Dawn was screaming, I was seriously confused and a bit freaked.

I voted Hush. Killed by Death really doesn't bother me at all. The only reason that I can't watch that episode is those annoying kids screaming all the way through the last five minutes of the show!
