Funniest: Triangle, parts of Buffy vs. Dracula
Scariest: Listening to Fear...the Queller gets me every time!
Saddest: Forever hands down. The emotions conveyed throughout the episode are intense, and particularly at the end in the exchange between Buffy and Dawn, the reactions aren't acted...they're real. It's amazing how well Sarah Michelle Gellar and Michelle Trachtenberg react to each other and how well they can convey that helpless grief. I did cry in this episode.
Favorite: The Gift, Blood Ties, Fool for Love. The Gift was and still is one of my favorite "Buffy" episodes. The story line leading up to it was begun early and passed along very well. A big thing for me is emotion and this episode had a ton of it. Buffy's sacrafice was done well, and her battle with Glory was very good. And I have to say, thank god Tara was saved because I was so mad!! One of my favorite parts was when Spike promised Buffy he'd watch over Dawn until the end of the world. Blood Ties was all about family, and helped me accept Dawn into the "Buffy" family. Up until then it had not clicked for me. Willow shows her power, Buffy dives in front of the crowbar and Dawn shows some use (finally). Fool for Love is on my favorites because of the Buffy/Spike storyline where Buffy becomes obsessed with trying to find out how he killed the previous Slayers. The drama and backstory of that was intense and kept me definitly hooked. Spike was merciless in his "training" of Buffy, which was a grea move by writers.
Quotes...my weakness lies in Buffy puns and Willow statements!
Dracula: Do you know why you cannot resist?
Buffy: 'Cause you're famous?
Buffy: Are you okay? Did she hurt you?
Dawn: Why do you care?
Buffy: Because I love you. You're my sister.
Dawn: No I'm not.
Buffy: Yes you are. Look, it's blood. It's Summers blood. It's just like mine. It doesn't matter where you came from, or-or how you got here. You are my sister. There's no way you could annoy me so much if you weren't.
BUFFY: And I'm trying. Dawn, I am, I am really trying to take care of things, but I don't even know what I'm doing. Mom always knew.
DAWN: Nobody's asking you to be Mom.
BUFFY: Well, who's gonna be if I'm not? Huh, Dawn? Have you even thought about that? Who's gonna make things better? (crying harder) Who's gonna take care of us?
DAWN: Buffy...
BUFFY: I didn't mean to push you away, I didn't. I just, I couldn't let you see me. Oh god, Dawnie...I don't know what we're gonna do. I'm scared.
DAWN: Buffy...
Anya: The Dagon Sphere.
Giles: Sorry?
Anya: When Buffy first met Glory she found that magical, glowy sphere that was meant to repel Glory. We've got it in the basement. It might drive her away or hurt her. Oh.
[motioning to a large hammer]
Anya: And Olaf the troll god's enchanted hammer. You want to fight a god, use the weapon of a god.
Spike: Nah, that thing's too heavy to...
[Buffy easily picks up the hammer]
Spike: Yeah, good.
Buffy: I like this. Thanks.
Anya: Here to help. Wanna live
Xander: Smart chicks are so hot.
Willow: You couldn't have figured that out in tenth grade?
Buffy: We're not all gonna make it. You know that.
Spike: Yeah. Hey, always knew I'd go down fightin'.
Buffy: I'm counting on you... to protect her.
Spike: Till the end of the world. Even if that happens to be tonight
Tara: I got so lost.
Willow: I found you. I will always find you
