Scariest moment

i dont know if theres a thread about this already. sorry if there is.

what did you find scariest?

mine was in Afterlife when anya was posessed and cutting up her face. i didnt really notice til today how bad it was. the first time i watched it it was on sky one and they cut the bit with the blood. ever since then ive looked away when it was on. but i just found out that the version i saw had been cut. so today i watched the dvd and realised it was much worse than i realised.

many of you may not think it was particularly scary but i have a thing about eyes. and that laugh! i found it horrifying.

so what did you find scariest?
 
OMG!!! That was definitly one of the scariest moments, that creeped me out!! :scared20: I also always turn my head when it's on. *shudders*
 
I usually don't find BtVS scary, at all.. But I just watched Dirty Girls, and actually found the scene with the fight, and Caleb in the vineyard, pretty scary.. The fact that he is so strong and powerful. And how dark and depressing it all is, the fact they don't have a chance against him.. hmm..
 
I would have to say that the scariest moment is in Hellbound. I cringe everytime I see that dead guy cutting up his fingers.
 
Oh my god, first off, eps, you are right on the money about the vineyard scene and Caleb. Caleb scares the living crap out of me. But to me, the scariest moment wasn't the FIGHT at the vineyard. It was at the veeeery begining in the truck when you're just realizing that Shannon's in the truck with a very bad man, and is probably in way more danger than when she was running from the Bringers....but that's not the out-and-out scariest BtVS moment EVER for me. It's that shot in Hush where it's a POV from the guy that the Gentlemen are cutting out his heart and you just see them hovering there. EUGH!!!!! It's like a nightmare!!!!
 
Yea... That is a pretty scary part... But the part that scares me would either have to be, when Olivia is looking out the window, and the Gentleman passes. My little sister seriously screamed, it was hilarious... OR with the Gnarl demon... That seriously scares me... Creepy little dude!

Bit's that i thought were scary:

-Buffy s7 No place like home, when Buffy sees dawn flickering in the photos. Just a scary thought.
-Angel s.4 Jasmines real face. Maggots are gross
-Angel s5 Not Fade Away, when Lorne kills Lindsay. Not scary but it always gives me chills
-Buffy s4 Fear Itself, self explanatory, I thought it was the scariest ep overall
-Buffy s5 The Body, scary because it's so real
 
I am not very easily scared at stuff on TV, but I totally agree with Croft Storm about The Body. I can't even watch that episode!
 
The scariest moment--in my opinion--was in Passions when Angelus chases Jenny throughout the school. The thing that is scary about it was that it was so "real." There was no fight, no Buffy coming to save the day, no pity comments. Just a snap of the neck and that was it. I suppose that is why I still have trouble watching that episode.
 
Have to agree, the Gentlemen make me jump when they pass the window in 'Hush'.

I can't believe no one mentioned 'Conversations With Dead People'. In addiation to Dawn dealing with the (possibly) evil presence in the house, you have the First taunting Willow and you get the first hint that 'oh crap, this is gonna be bad'.

Fear, Itself creeped me out, and so did Hush. But I remember at the end of an ep (can't remember the name), when it showed all the ubervamps in that big cavern. That just made me go 'woa, this is bad'.
 
The most scariest bit ever has to that Angel episode. Hellbound, where you see that men cutting his fingers off. That seriously was very disturbing to watch.
 
For some reason the Buffy-bringing-back-that-demon-thing-that-possessed people episode was scary and disturbing. Same with that possessed little boy Angel episode from season 1. Also, when that demon possessed Jenny Calendar and attacked Giles. Something about the familiar outer shell being driven by an evil force is quite freaky. That weird contrast of the everyday/innocent and evil I guess. Also, dummies. Self-animated dummies are freaky.
