scars

uh
i don't know why i noticed this, but i did.

spike has been impaled/stabbed many times during the show, so why doesn't he have any scars at all on his body?

thought that was wierd.

I don't know, but Angel didn't seem to have any scars either, even after Buffy rammed a sword through his chest. Nor did Dru and Darla seem to retain any burn scars from when "dark" Angel set them on fire.

Maybe vampires not only heal faster, but "cleaner" than most humans.

that's what i thought, but spike got that scar above his eye like a hundred years ago and it's still there.

I guess they can't make it otherwise... and maybe he's got that scar from when he was still human...

I never thought of that before..I mean, even after his fight with Harmony, he looks pretty scratched up but only a few episodes later, his body is back to it's perfect, scratchless, drool-worthy (okay, I'm just rambling now) self. 😀

Thats really odd if you ask me...I mean, you'd think they'd retain SOME sort of scar, but whatever. I think the only reason that they keep the eyebrow scar as its cool and to hard to cover up 😀

So is the scar on James Marsters eyebrow a real scar (i.e. not make up)?

Yeah he got it a couple of years ago when he was mugged in New York.

Ok. This whole mugging thing is now cleared up. THANK YOU! It just wasn't very clear to me if James was the one mugged, or if he tried mugging someone. 🙄 He just didn't seem like the mugging type... I'm going to go hide now...

i just thought it was a subtle thing they added to spike's character

also, i watched an episode of angel the other day, and angel got impaled by a pole or something. no scars left

I was shocked when I found out that the scar was real. I thought it was just something they threw together for the show.

Nah. It's real. They do add to it with makeup though so it looks a bit more drastic. Cool, eh? 😀

even if it would have made more sense to have him get the scar while he was human

Yea there is an interview with James on the US season 2 DVD and they talk about the scar.

ya the 1st time he went in for make up he said i hae a scar in my eye brow if you just wanna fill it in but they said no and that they took a bit more of the brow away to show the scar more and that they would make it into his charecter. but i think he has the scar because like with people if you get a scar on your face then it will take longer to heal then on other parts of your body (i think)lol

the reason Spike and Angel don't have scars,is becouse theyre camps,and heal fast with no permanent damage,they've said that numerous times on the show,you just have to catch them saying it.("War Zone,series 1-Cordelia-"well i's a good thing u heal fast")
