Scary Thought

I was just watching the first few episodes of Buffy and I had a really cary thought. What if they had decided to kill off Xander and keep Jesse? I love Xander's character, but since the two characters were so similarit really could've gone either way. That really would've sucked, but on the same note we probably wouldn't have known any better and would have grown to love Jesse. For me though it's Xander all the way.
 
I was actually thinking of that the first time I saw it...I never saw the first season right away...I saw it in reruns much later than when it aired. Jesse actually annoyed me...I was happy when he died. And I thought...what if they killed Xander and kept Jesse? But I guess if I knew Jesse as that character on the show for so long I would like him...they were very similar personality wise. Maybe if that had happened Xander would even annoy me in the first few episodes...but I'm very very happy we have Xander and not Jesse.
 
Hmm...I guess I grow to like Xander,so prolly the same thing'd happen with Jesse,but if I was given a choice I'd definitely kill Jesse

Good call! I enjoyed both characters, and I must say they both look pretty yummy as members of the undead. But I think we got the good end of the deal.
 
As similar as many thought they were Jesse was much more confident than Xander. But it was Xander's humbleness in the beginning that I found so attractive & endearing.
 
I am so glad Xander was kept and Jesse was killed, he was proper weird.
 
They really were'nt htat similar, though. I like Xander because he was helpful and humble. Jesse was just trying to get in Cordelia's pants. Also, since Xander knew about Buffy, or at least some of it, if he had died, Buffy might have gone the whole first season as "secret identity girl" instead of building up her own scooby squad.
 
I'm so glad they kept Xander instead of Jess. I can't see Jess in anyof the episodes. Xander all they way, he was made to live and not get killed by a vamp in what the first or second eppy?
 
The whole Xander/Jesse thing was just a re-do of the Pike/Benny thing from the movie anyway, though done a little differently.
 
I could be wrong, but I honestly don't think I would have loved the show as much. Xander is my favourite guy, and I really love him. I don't think it would have been the same with Jesse...
 
Ooohh...really scary thought!!! I didn't much like Jesse. I love Xander, especially his funny little quirks. I don't think I would've liked the show like I do if it was Jesse instead of Xander *shivers at the thought* nope...
Jesse bad...Xander pretty...lol

Jeese annoyed the **** out of me.

Especially when he was all "You nibble on me blah blah" on cordelia

Good riddance is all I have to say....
 
eeek :aah: That is a scary though, i did like Jesse + he was pretty damn fine! But the show wouldnt be the same without the Xand man! How could we have lived without the wisecracking, loyal, sweet, caring man we have all come to love!!!
 
Didn't Jesse get whacked in Texas Chainsaw Massacre? (I mean the actor who played Jesse)
 
Jesse was very painfully annoying. He was slimey and irratating. I'm glad we got Xander 🙂
