Yeah, I agree. She would have been a very lonely and tragic character. Also, without her friends and the gang, maybe she would have gone to the dark side like Faith. What made her a stronger Slayer was her friends, as they kept her feet on the ground. I have a real soft spot for Xander anyway, so I couldn't imagine him not being part of the show.

Jesse would played Xander's personality. Plain and simple. I'm glad they kept Nick Brendan though.

I was just watching the first few episodes of Buffy and I had a really cary thought. What if they had decided to kill off Xander and keep Jesse? I love Xander's character, but since the two characters were so similarit really could've gone either way. That really would've sucked, but on the same note we probably wouldn't have known any better and would have grown to love Jesse. For me though it's Xander all the way.
Well I actually wondered something simliar to that. I always wondered what would've happened if Jesse hadn't gotten killed at all and it would have been like Buffy,Willow,Xander,Jesse,Giles,and Cordy on the main script. That would've been cool. :nod:

Argh! Such a scary thought indeed!! Jesse was alright enough, but I don't think I could have put up with him as an actor for much longer.
