I watched this yesterday, and i love it as much as ever.
But who else thinks Angels plan when he drags Xander in by the neck to meet Spike is one of Angels funniest moments?
Its just so funny that he somehow thinks this plan is gonna work and that its not the dumbest plan ever.
Even if Spike did take a bite, Angel wouldnt have so he would still be caught out. Its like typical Angel. I laughed though, twas truely funny.:lmao:

Wow, I watched school hard yesterday too lol
Poor Buffy, having to deal with Spike and parent teacher night.

I really laughed in that part when willow is drinking buffy's lemonade and it has no sugar L00L "it's very good"
Willow's face just makes me laugh so hard, and later when Cordelia is "making fun" of Buffy saying "Tenth high school reunion? You'll still be grounded" and willow says "Cordelia, have some lemonade" lol I just find Willow soo cute there

ahah i love that bit!
think episode was great but it introduced spikes strenght as alot greater than it is he beat buffy, from his introduction i thought he was such a cool evil

Keep in mind also that Spike was almost certainly holding back in order to savor the fun of taking another Slayer, just like he was with Nickie Wood in "Lies My Parents Told Me." Buffy never decisively beat Spike through the entire series.

Yeah but, their strength in s2 would have been alot closer. Buffy wasnt as good and strong a slayer until about s4/5.
He also gave her a good beating in Harsh light of Day.

So weird. I watched it yesterday, too. I'm on Inca Mummy Girl now. Anyhow, great episode and I often wondered why Angel would use Xander as a plan. Wouldn't it make more sense if he just came on his own. Stupid... damn, Angel. lol

^ Angel can be rather thick-headed sometimes, can he not? Must be that conscious muddling up the old brainpan. Angelus is as sharp as a whip! That's probably how Spike knew.

Bahaha. Reminds me of the Buffybot calling Angel "bloody stupid." Hehehe.

hehe! Her line about Angel is one of my favorite quotes EVER.
I see this episode as the episode that brought Buffy into the light, meaning this is the episode that started Buffy and its greatness.

I remember James saying he played the interaction between Spike and Buffy, sexual tension wise. Then he said he didn't think anyone's noticed that, haha!

Blondie Bear
Ha! Underestimated his audience BIG TIME.
Another thing about that episode. Did you ever notice that Spike's accent in "School Hard," though still British, was of a completely different class (Cockney? I'm not too good with accents) than it was in later seasons?

I laugh at his accent in this episode everytime I watch it

Yeah. His accent became softer over the years.

haha i loved it :)
^^I just thought Spikes accent became a little more Americanized later in the series. And did you notice how throughout s2, Spike pronounces
it Angel-us instead of An-gelus.

My favourite part was when Joyce clobbered Spike! She's definitely the mother of a slayer!

Yep, that's one of the scenes where even an avowed Joyce-hater like myself can't help but like the woman. 🙂

And as for making Lemonade without sugar. Just wish that Snyder had taken a mouthful, now that could have been funny.

Uh I love this episode, it's awesome 😀
And about Spike's accent...really, people feel like it's become Americanized? I felt rather that it was the other way around, it became more British slang style.

What I loves most about this episode was Cordy, so hilarious how she was praying in that broom closet. Haha, and Willow's 'Cordelia, have some lemonade'

Just started watching this episode and I'm jumping up and down with glee!!!

Spike killing the annoying one. Hilarious. Spike almost killing Buffy awesome. Spike in general yay!

I loved the episode...Everything from Drusilla's introduction to the runned over sign. "Welcome to Sunnydale"

(That scene was the same in Lover's walk, but when we see Spike's car, it's clearly not the same !)
