Slayer School
Jane Espenson has said that back when the series Buffy was nearing its end, "I think Marti talked with Joss about Slayer School, I assume there was some back-and-forth pitching."[4]

Espenson revealed more information when she gave a talk at Ball State University in March 2003. The show might have used some of the Potentials (who became slayers after "Chosen"), and other characters from Buffy, which might have included Willow Rosenberg. Espenson also revealed that Whedon did not think that such a spinoff felt right.[5] It seems that the concept for "Slayer School" was never developed beyond a 'pitch' for a potential spin-off to replace Buffy.

I was looking through wikipedia and found this. I was just wonderring whether you thought this shows would have been good and would you have watched it. I think i would have watched this shows but could see many potential problems with it. One such example would be that i think if it was set in a boarding school type setting that it would be continually compared to harry potter lol

Although it would probably help to snag the younger generation aswell as the regular buffy fans which should result in a continuation of the buffyverse.

Honestly there is merit to this idea HOWEVER, it would have descended quickly into 90210 territory or worse that Witch Academy from Charmed or whatever it was.

As far as i'm concerned the only reason Joss could do this is to make his commentary on the stresses of High School BUT as we know he already did that, and honestly, I don't think he could do it better.

With the next spin off(if there is one) it should be some part of society that has not been tackled.
Maybe a take on the Sophisticates of New York, a young Socialite Slayer maybe showing the stresses of that world that are briefly touched upon in Angels early seasons.
Maybe even take on something far more political like Terrorism through an Initiative Spin-Off(not Riley though).

I always thought a spin off involving a witch joining and training at the coven that giles and willow continually refer to would be good so we could see their part in the great battles as so far they have been important in late series 6 and 7 but we know almost nothing about them. This seems like an especially good idea to me after series 7 as we know that the coven can help locate potentials and therefore slayers which means they will have strong ties with buffy and co so it opens up the possibility of old characters having cameos

Bleh. Sounds lame. We hate the potentials, we didn't need a spin-off. It would make us hate them more =\
