Has anyone else seen this movie? It's not like any other movie that I've ever seen Arnold star in. No heroics, no "I'll be bahk," no explosions, the guy actually CRIES.

He plays a farmer who's daughter has been bitten by a zombie (they don't call them that, but it works out that way, nonetheless) helpless as the symptoms slowly manifest. I'm not a great fan of zombie movies, but this one really impressed me.

Apparently, it's direct to disc, or I totally missed it at the theatre.

To be honest I think it's a little late for Arnie to be trying his hand at 'serious' acting. His strength has always been in straight-up action or action-comedy, not drama pieces.
Action stars like Stallone or Willis have managed, to some extent, to change with the times as they've gotten older, doing more serious work ('The Sixth Sense', 'Copland') sprinkled in with the action genre.

I mean, good luck to him an' all but I'm not going to be rushing out to see this.

It was a brilliant line in "The Terminator".

I've heard some good reviews of it, but I have no interest in seeing it. When they were first talking about it they were saying it was going to have a same day digital release date, but it looks as though the theater aspect fell through and it just went digital. The fact they were not able to get a movie deal, or did not feel comfortable releasing the movie theatrically makes me kinda not want to see it more.

Thing which Willis managed to do is distance himself from being a genre star from the start. Unlike the typical macho action guys he was able to show good comic timing, and a everyday charm. Also, throughout his career he has always done a range of stuff. It is more recently that he has become pigeoned holed as a 'action star' maybe because he has lost interest in presueing deverse roles, or maybe people have focused on that because of the Die Hard films returing, and the whole Expendables thing. I remain unconvinced of Stallone as much more than a genatic action, and pretty boring one at that. Although I did hear he was good in Copland and should check that out.

I agree about Willis- he was never just 'an action star' in the vein of Arnie or Sly, despite Die Hard being one of the best action movies of all time.

I always thought the first 'Rocky' and 'Rocky Balboa' were darn good films. I'm not a huge boxing fan but Stallone's everyman, last-chance underdog story really hits home for me.
Also 'Rambo: First Blood' is more than just an by the numbers action movie.

Have you ever seen Willis in Moolighting the TV show where he got his big break? If not then you should check it out, he really shows his comic talents there, as well as an engaging romantic persona.

I liked the Rocky films as a kid, but now I just think they take themselves too seriously, are over long, dated and actually quite dull. That is why I enjoy Karate Kid more because its a well written cheesefest which is at least up front about it. Even though there is little to pick between Sly and Arnie talent wise I do think Arnie has made the better films choices overall.

Woah woah woah wait, this is a new movie? How the hell the Arnold look like he went back in time, he looks like 40-50, isn't the guy 70 now?

The movie looks good though, I want to watch, I love Zombie flicks.

You should also check out "Blind Date," with Bruce and Kim Bassinger, years before "Die Hard," or "Hudson Hawk," the latter pretty much panned, but both funny. Not everyone knows that Bruce Willis started out as a comedian and musician, not an action star.

Seen Hudson Hawk it was a big favourite of mine during my childhood. In some ways its a guilty pleasure, but I did really enjoy it and to think Andie Macdowell used to be in so many good films😀 She is really cute in it too😛 Not seen BD yet.
