Scoobies That Never Were

Were there any minor characters that you would have liked to see join either the Scooby gang or AtS gang?

For example, a lot of fans were angry that Andrew joined the Scoobies in Season 7 instead of Jonathan (though I love both).

A few other fans were mad that Kate dropped off the face of the earth and didn't join the AtS gang (I never really cared for her character though I like Elizabeth Rohm).

I know I'm probably the only person that feels this way but I really liked Scott Hope and thought it would be interesting to see a character like him (Owen/Jesse) join the gang (not really as a love interest for Buffy though)

I really wish Faith had joined AtS for at least a season. She really meshed with the feel of the show for me. I also liked Drogyn more than Groo and wished they had done an arc with Drogyn instead of Groo.

I'll probably think of some more later...

That immediately makes me think of the "Scoobies TNG" kids Dawn met at the start of S7. Shame we only saw them in one episode. Then again, S7 was more than suffering from way too many characters already... but I'd have gladly traded most of the Potentials for more exploration of Dawn making friends outside the circle of Scoobies.

When I first watched 'Never Kill a Boy on the First Date' I totally thought Owen was coming back. I was only a little disappointed when he didn't, lol. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any minor characters I really wanted to be in the Scooby gang.

For Angel, I think it would've been great if that millionaire geek guy had been with the gang for more than a few episodes! He and Wes could've clashed hilariously. 😀

I think Cassie. There's probably more, but she immediately comes to mind. I love her personality, the fact that she "just knows things" would have come of use to the Scooby Gang I think.

I would have loved to have seen more of Hamilton in Ats too. BEAST of a character.

In Angel I would have like to see Lindsey join after Dead End, or maybe Human Darla for a while anyway. I think Faith would have fit in there as well, but I preferred her storyline with her finding redemption in prison.

I defs like the idea of Scoobies:TNG with Dawn and her new school friends, I really thought it was going to be covered a lot more than it was~! Ah well.

And am I the only one on here who actually likes the idea of all the Potentials being Called?!

I really wish that Kate had fallen in with the Fang Gang after her OD. I think she would have been a wonderful addition and a good friend to Angel.

I think Cassie and Jesse should have stuck around much longer than they did for BtVS Cassie would have made an amazing friend for Dawn, and Jesse was gone far too quick. Maybe you could have thrown Kit or Mike in more too. I really wanted to see more of Dawn's social life in S7, but we didn't get all that much...at all. So Jesse, Cassie, Kit, and Mike for here.

As for AtS, I would want more Gwen. We just had three episodes with her, then she disappeared and never came back. I wanted more Gwen. Yeah, I've heard she's in the comics, but I never read them. Gwen was amazing, and I thought her and Gunn would have had an interesting relationship.

Kate should have been with Ats gang. She just disappeared from the show suddenly. I didn't like her that much, but I think it would have been interesting to have her join them.

I really wish that Lindsey joined the gang as well. He's such an awesome character so it was a shame to see him used so little. And I would not have minded seeing Christian Kane's gorgeous face more often. 😉

I wanted the Whistler to join either gang (although Ats would have been a lot more fitting) I just wish he had more screen time. He seemed like such an interesting character.

I don't have a problem with Andrew. He was funny and I think he was mainly just a comic relief from all of the annoying potentials (although he could be annoying himself) But I would have liked to see more of Jonathan. But that's Joss, killing great characters is in his job description.

Of course Jenny. Or at least some other love interest for poor Giles. He may be old but he is a good looking man! 😀

Gwen too. She was a little annoying. Like why do you have to dress like a slut?! But she was interesting.

It always angered me that Dawn never got any real friends on the show. I wish the kids we saw in "Lessons" had gotten to stick around, or Cassie and Mike.
I also really wish we had gotten Jonathan instead of Andrew. I always had a soft spot for Jonathan, and Andrew got on my nerves a lot.

I guess I'm different because I find Jonathan annoying & whiney, and I love Andrew! Although I did like Superstar.

I'm sorry, I couldn't stand Scott Hope. Owen was OK. I really liked the guy she got to know in The Freshman. Can't remember his name, the one who was turned into a vamp. I thought that could've been a neat friendship.

Yes, I thought of them immediately. They seemed like neat characters, and would've been cool to see Dawn dealing with the Hellmouth at the new high school with these new friends.

OMG I love him! The one scene was hilarious where he told them that their lives were so exciting and that a demon could walk in that door any second and they all looked at the door. LOL!

I would have liked to see Kate stick around and help the AI gang. I really liked her character.

Don't know if this counts, but I would have loved to see Oz meet up with Angel in the gang in LA a couple times. I thought the two of them had an interesting dynamic and could of had a neat friendship. Plus, having Oz around when Nina was turned into a wolf would have been helpful.

Gwen definately! I thought she was interesting, and I really liked her and Gunn together.
I don't like Kate at all, so I was happy to see her leave.

I would have liked to see more of Kate but I loved her final appearance on the show. I loved Kate a lot and was glad to see her return in the comics 😀 I think it would have been cool had the show continued if she came back like in the comics.

Faith, she should have joined the ats gang in s4 when she came back she should have stayed cause I didnt really like her arc on btvs in s7 but I think she would have worked so well on ats.

I completely agree with everyone who said Kate should have joined Angel's gang. I didn't like how she totally disappeared from the map and never showed up again... Wtf!

I also think Lindsey would have been a great addition to the Fang Gang... Even though he was a great villain. Can you imagine all the Angel/Lindsey banter? 🙂

As for BtVS, Jonathan would have been interesting, but I was okay with Andrew. I agree with Britt and IM about the kids who were with Dawn in 'Lessons'. Would have been cool, but again... That season was already way too packed with characters.

I don't know if Andrew counts, just because he was with them for most of season 7 and even after that. But it's him who I would love to see in the Scooby gang anyway.

Can I take out of the Scooby gang Dawn?

I know the decision for Kate to leave Ats had more to do with the actress getting another job (she became a somewhat major character on Law and Order) so that was the reason she left so abruptly.

I do think having the TNG would have been interesting and could have had some pretty cool stories.

I really hated Kate, so I wasn't sad to see her leave "Angel", but I do wish we'd gotten to see more of Gwen Raiden. 🙂

I would like to have Jonathan to join Scoobies (I thought killing off Jonathan was a strange decision). Also I would have wanted the Whistler join Angel along with Faith and Gwen.

I definitely wanted Gwen Raiden and Kate Lockley to join the Fang Gang...they just disappeared 🙁
