And we are back with a new round of the Scooby Spotlight, in the spotlight this first week is @BuffyNvrForgets

Here's your starter questions:

1. How did you find BB? What were your first thoughts about it?
2. What is it about Buffy that has you ‘coming back’?
3. If you could guest star in any Buffy or Angel episode, which episode would you choose?
4. What does a day in your life usually look like?
5. If you could swap lives with one person for a day who would it be?

1: It wasn't even that long ago, and already I can hardly remember! I think I had seen it once or twice, read a thread or two, but I didn't join until I started finding that I really wanted to express my many Buffy opinions, and my family and friends (who had never seen the show) were begining to grow perterbed...

2: The characters. Same goes for most all of Whedon's other shows too, (Angel, Firefly especially). I never had many friends growing up, and I was homeschooled. Not even the proper kind of homeschool where you use all that extra time to have crazy cool experiences. No. Like, I-never-left-the-house homeschooled. So, early on, I started getting super attached to characters in TV shows or movies. I know it sounds kinda silly or sad, but it is one way to get that human connection, if you can't get it for real! People need people, after all, and Whedon's "people" were written so real, and so well! It's now been a year since I first watched Buffy (little more than), and I'm still milling about the Whedonverse, watching and rewatching. I almost feel I've been spoiled for other shows now. Not many can compare!

3: Ohhhh. Well, "Waiting in the Wings" would be fun, becuase I'd get to see Giselle (and Summer Glau dancing Giselle!!), But I also think it's be fun to be in "Graduation Day Pt. 2 and get to wield a crossbow...OH or a FLAMETHROWER!!

4: Well, it's ever changing, especially now, but on an average weekday, I get up, make breakfast (generally eggs, accompanied by an episode or two of the original 80s She-Ra) and help make sure my 90 yo Grandmother with dementia gets her breakfast and doesn't get into anything she isn't supposed to. Then it's all school assignments, (if there is a quarter currently ongoing). My nephew often comes in the afternoon, and generally my younger sister and I have to keep an eye on him, make sure no fires are started, etc. Lunch and dinner pass by in due time, and my nephew is picked up by his parents. I either finish more assignments, or work on various projects. Thats the basic, but really, I only ever have 40 random things going on, so things get exciting fast. Add onto that, I'm working towards getting my drivers license (I'm a little late...like, If I'd tried, I probably coulda gotten it 3 years ago), and I'm looking into getting my first REAL job. I've had seasonal positions and babysitting and stuff, but no everyday job means no money means still living with your mom who just really wants to enjoy her empty nest and cute grandkids 😂. So yeah, I'm running a lot of tabs in the background.

5: Ohh, that's hard. As difficult (and painful) as my life is sometimes, I don't think I could ever be happy as anyone else. I guess, if I HAD to, I'd wanna put it to good use. I'd maybe try and pick someone in a position of (political?) power and do a bunch of stuff all day that would benefit those under my employ...

1: Oooh...I've not had ice cream in so long... hmm....I'd say salted caramel anything is my favorite icecream. Doesn't matter what they call it. If it has salted caramel and nuts or pretzels? I'm there.

2: I do love Angel, but right now I'm gonna have to say Firefly. It's my current obsession. Over the weekend, I made a TON of food out of my new Firefly themed cookbook. It was all very...interesting...

3: Probably Daredevil. I'm more or less beginning to fall out of love with the whole Marvel Universe and such, but I just love that show.

4: I'd have to say ALIEN. Love that one. Or Wall-E. Hmm, I guess Space is my favorite movie?

5: Ha! Good question! I'm actually technically underage. (18 year old in the U.S. here). Sooo, never tried either. I will say, my mom once made brownies with bailey's in them, and I wasn't expecting that when I tasted. Apparently, I made a funny face, gagged a little bit. Anyways, I guess I'll say original. I'm a traditionaist, after all.
Favourite book?
Do you prefer fiction or non fiction books?
1: Gah, there are so many! I'm trying to read more. (I'll take book recommendations) I will say though, I read Anne of Green Gables as a child, and it's become incredibly dear to me. I reread it recently and it actually helped me work out some issues 🤣 .

2: Oh, probably fiction. I don't read a lot of non fiction, though I kinda want to give it a try. My younger sister (who is only 15, mind you) has been getting all these cool self improvement books. Maybe I'll steal one or two.

How long has it been since you were in a fight?
1: I don't own my own car yet, so I currently drive my parents old beat up hundai, which is just fine by me. But when I do get my own car, I want it to be the weirdest little car you've ever seen. Little a little yellow slug bug or something. A weird little car just feels right to me.

2: Yes! I love music, though I'm probably not the best at it. I've played the Violin for about 5 years now, and I play some piano too, though I've never taken real lessons for that one. I also am surprisingly good with the melodica and the slide whistle.

3: Ah, it changes based on the day. I love the city. I live in a suburb close to one, so I often get to drive through it. and I LOVE driving through it. But actually getting out of the car? Hmmmm Maybe not. It's always crowded, dirty and confusing. So I rather think I like the idea of the city. I also like the idea of rural areas, though I dunno if I'd survive long in one. I'd probably have to say suburban. I'm a very particual flower, used to a very particular environment.

4: Not really. I can deadman float. Doggy Paddle. I can do moves that resemble actual strokes. We all took swimming lessons when we were little, and I was never very good. In the 3-4 years we did it, I never graduated level 1. So basically, me and water? Not mixy things.

5: Yeah, I can sing. I love to sing. I might not be the best at all types of singing, but I have a good voice for choir (I was, in fact part of our Church's choir for a while), and singing lullabyes to littles. I sing and hum all the time. I don't even notice I do it anymore. Often classical pieces, funnily enough. (My mom once commented "Do you just have a ballet running 24 hours in your head"?)

6: No, but I wish. I dunno why, I'm a lovely person, personality wise. And, while I'm probably not the prettiest out of ALL my sisters, (if I'm allowed to say myself) we're all pretty well set in the looks department. We probably won't win any contests, nor cecome supermodels, but we ain't ugly, that's for sure. Believe it or not, I've never had a boyfriend. It just never happened. It's about time though, right?

7: I don't know WHAT that means....Pet? Friends? Dumb boyfriend? I don't have any pets right now (Our childhood pet cat recently passed away), but I've always wanted a dog. Now that financial and living independace is on the horizon, I'm beginning to plot and scheme...

8: I'm currently working towards an Associate of Fine Arts. I'm an artist, and hope to make that my career (somehow). I don't plan on really going furhter than that, though, as what really matters more as an artist is your portfolio. Plus, I don't really have the time or money to spend on something any fancier...

9: OOOOOh good question. I love the environment of the Pacific Northwest...But I also love those little european seaside villages I'm always seeing in movies, where everyone can bike everywhere and everybody knows everybody else and there are roses growing up the walls.

10: Hmmmmmm hard question....Worst favorite? I live with a couple narcissists, so the manipulaton and such, I could do without. I've gotten good at spotting it, but it's still obnoxious. Favorite? Well, I'm technically supposed to be on a diet for medical reasons, but somehow I've managed to celebrate my sister's birthday with cake and pizza...Call that a vice, if you will.

11: Hmm. I dunno if it counts as a protest. I was like, super chill and peaceful. We did get people yelling at us and flipping us off though.

12: Physically? Or emotionally/verbally? Because the latter was just two days ago. A physical fight? Oh, It's been years.
Listening to any podcasts?

Best Boy band ever?

Do you have any talents?

What part of the world do you reside?

Ideal Vacation?
1: Yeah. I'm currently listening to "Ctrl Alt Destroy" on Realm. It's only 10 episodes long, and yet it's taken me voer a month. I guess I don't put it on as often as I should!

2: Okay, okay, don't freak out. BTS. My whole family is obsessed with them (Including my 59 year old mother and 90 year old grandmother). I'm definetly not as into them as some of my siblings, but I like a lot of their music. The english translations to their songs can be rather beautiful, and they've got some fun personalities.

3: Do I? I'm pretty much a jack of all trades, master of none. I'm quite gifted with the arts. I'm an artist, as mentioned above a musician. I can pretty much pick up any instrument and figure it out, if only just a little bit. I hope to start an adult ballet class soon too. I'm pretty funny, and fairly decent with accents (but not impressions). I'm pretty good with kiddos, which is a talent of its own. I can sing and whistle, I'm pretty good at birthday celebrations...the list goes on and on.

4: I live up in the pacific northwest, in the U.S. Thats my little corner of the world.

5: Hmm. I don't go on vacations much. Never been on a true one. I think perhaps a little Bed and breakfast in one of those european seasie towns, but somewhere I could catch a concert or ballet one of the nights.

If you were a slayer, would you be more like Faith or Buffy?

Superpower of choice?

Opinion on Pineapple + Pizza?

Would you prefer a day on the town with Summer Glau or SMG? 🙂
1: Probably Buffy. I'm too morally upright to be Faith. No fun.

2: Flight. Then I wouldn't have to worry about a car.

3: Listen, I know people who like it, so ya know, whtever floats your boat. Different strokes for different folks. But me? Nah, giv eme an alfredo pizza with spinach and mushrooms, or a pepperoni with olives. That's my thing.

4: Summer Glau. Summer Glau, Summer Glau, Summer Glau. Sarah Michelle Gellar is awesome, but Summer Glau is like...one of my heroes. Plus I feel like we'd have more to talk about.

Can you bake? If so favourite thing to bake?
Have you ever set something on fire?
Is there a recipe you would like to learn?

1: I can indeed bake! I’m not super adventurous, or fancy, but I’ve recently gotten into this new firefly cookbook I got. I’d say I like to bake cookies mostly. I make a mean Russian Teacake.

2: Only in dreams. My mom used to warn us off of stuff by telling us horror stories about people getting electrocuted or choking or burning to death, so I’ve always wary of fire…

3: Oh, so many. From soups to stews to breads, I wanna learn how to cook healthy, and stuff that’s easy on the tastebuds! We had a bunch of weird pasta and baked cheese and meat casseroles growing up, so I’d like to leave those far behind and introduce a few more colors into my diet. Green, perhaps?

What is the best memory you have?

Favorite Children’s movie?

Disney Character?
1: oh, that’s tough. Long term memory recall is hard for me sometimes, I dunno why. Maybe I’m perpetually tired…I would say perhaps this one day I took these two little toddler girls I babysat for to the park. I had set them up on the swing, and the older one turned to me, grabbed my arm and said their name for me (which was a modified version of my name, cut down to two easy syllables). I’m not often blissfully happy, but that time I was. just that warm fuzzy feeling of the unconditional love of a child…anyways.

2: Probably Wall-E. Or, also, maybe Barbie Princess and the Pauper. I’m not gonna watch that one just randomly, like I would Wall-E, but that movie brings me right back to childhood. The animation is…outdated, but the songs are legit still pretty, the plot decent with strong mesages and the men in it? They aren’t dumbed down or stupid so the girls can “shine” like you often see, nor are they that super toxic masculinity. I was impressed, upon watching it again 12 years later.

3: yeah, probably Wall-E. I also like Ellie from UP. Dunno why, but as a kid, the first 5 minutes of UP were my favorite part of the movie. If we’re counting marvel and starwars, maybe Rey or Leia?

1/ What do you think of vampire films in general?

13/ Are you any good at counting?

Have you ever secretly taken a taste of Baileys?

Favourite fictional character from any medium? Favourite quote from that character?

Have you ever dyed your hair? Or broken your leg?

1: hmmm…Depends on the film. I generally don’t do monsters (because sleeping at night is something I like to do) but vampires I’m generally fine with. Zombies are more often than not a big no-no, where wolves the same, I don’t come across mummies very often…

7: I guess not.

3: haha, no, though to respond to your comment, I just didn’t know she had but Bailey’s in it. I’ve definitely never been stoned. You think I lead a much different life than I actually do…
Favourite fictional character from any medium? Favourite quote from that character?

Have you ever dyed your hair? Or broken your leg?
1: probably River. Hmmm favorite quote? That’s a hard one…”No power in the verse can stop me”!

2: No! I’ve never died my hair (dunno what color I would. Maybe red or something. Like, ginger, not bright red, very natural). I’ve also never broken my leg. I wasn’t very adventurous growing up. Never climbed any trees.

Are you more of a day person or a night person?

Where did the username come from? For some reason this has been a burning question for me 🙂

Worst thing (quality wise) you’ve ever read/watched?

Are you more of a day person or a night person?

Where did the username come from? For some reason this has been a burning question for me 🙂

Worst thing (quality wise) you’ve ever read/watched?
1: Night person. Definitely. I’m an artist, and so often the evening/night is the only time I get to work on what I actually want to work on. So I’ll get so caught up in projects, that sometimes I’m up till 1 or 2. Theeeennn I can’t get out of bed until 10. It’s a vicious cycle, really.

2: What a great question! I picked it based on one of my favorite Angel episodes, actually, “I Will Remember You”. It’s based on the part where Buffy keeps repeating “I’ll never forget” or something of the like. It’s a beautiful scene. Makes me cry. I was considering changing my name to “Little Albatross” to feed into my current River obsession, but then again, I feel I’m beginning to get a rep here, and I figure why change it so nobody can recognize me anymore?

3: Interesting question. It depends, because I think Hallmark movies and those weird lifetime movies suck, but then, they are their own genre, so are they bad movies, or are they “good hallmark movies”? If I had to pick, I would say this movie we watched once called “Masters of disguise” or perhaps the homeschool productions of Much Ado About Nothing I was in as a child. Yes, you heard me. ProductionS. As in, 2. In one of those two I played Don Jon, and lemme tell you, it was really weird hearing Sean Maher say all the lines I had buried deep in my subconscious.

Comfort food?
1: Is it weird if I say veggie straws and a flavored vitamin water? See, I like a lot of different foods, but over this past year, I’ve had to diet for medical reasons. So, when I”ve had a long day at school or at home or out doing whatever, I’ll get a big bowl of veggie straws, a flavored water (I’ve never liked those weird seltzer waters), and put on a show.
Comfort movie?

Other comfort activities?
2: depends on what you mean by “comfort”.
Comfort/sad: I have a couple. Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms, Only Yesterday, Inside out…the list goes on. Oddly enough, I find movies that make me cry the most comforting? Like, when I’m sad or emotional or what have you, I just want to watch something sad and weep I guess? So anything made by Pixar.
Comfort/comfortable/happy: Serenity, Starwars: (The sequels or the Originals) Murder on the Orient Express.

3: Ohh, I dunno. Watching stuff or being crafty, I think, or both at once. Watching stuff while drawing or crocheting? Yes please.
