1. How (and why) did you find BB? What were your first thoughts about it?
I had made a very silly youtube video. I was kinda embarrassed about it, so I wanted to show it to someone who were as obsessed with Buffy as I am. The BB boards are very easy to find. Initially, I was completely overwhelmed by amount of sensory input. There are a lot of subforums and they all have funny names :p The people here are really nice, so I decided to hang around. Pricey and MetDa were quick to reach out and bring me into the fold.
2. What was it about Buffy that made you fall in love with the show?
It was a slow process for me. My English weren't so good the first times I saw it and a lot gets lost in translation. After my English got better, I found there was a rythm to the way the characters spoke that really got me hooked. After that, I discovered more and more things I liked about it. Seriously, it is literally the perfect show for me.
3. Who is your favorite Whedonverse character?
*drumroll* Willow *gasp!*
Coffee. I drink a lot of coffee. I am drinking coffee now.
5. What movie do you watch when you're sick?
I never get sick. Up until this autumn, I wouldn't have had time. If I feel a little under the weather, I take a pill and everything is fine. "Is there a way to find a cure for this implanted in a pill? It is the name upon the bottle which determines if it will." There are a lot of movies I like. Big Fish is one.
How happy are you to answer questions?
I haven't made up my mind, yet.
What's your favourite quality in a person?
A lot of people say honesty and modesty or somesuch. Screw that! Passion is what gets me. Passion and personality.
Do you like Willow more than your RL friends?
Ha! Willow never leaves me :p I don't know, I have some lovely friends that I love very dearly. That being said, I have probably been a more loyal BtVS fan over the years than a good friend to my friends. If Willow was real, I would work very hard to make her the bestest of my friends. Does that answer the question? :p
Describe your best friend
There have been a lot of people over the years whom I have called my best friend. The most recent one is perhaps the one I love the most of all. She belongs to one of the most infamous independent Christian communities in northern Scandinavia. She is extraordinarily passionate to the point being obsessive. She is eerily intuitive and reads me like an open book. Her sardonic humour will crush you. She is drop dead gorgeous. I haven't seen her in over a year, but she is still the person I reach out to whenever I need it. Loveliest human being in the whole world. Maybe better than Will.
What country would you like to visit?
America! And I am going to! In January :D
Which language would you like to learn?
I am very happy just knowing English. German, Russian or French would be the most useful. I could probably teach myself German if I applied myself.
What is your favourite animal?
Dogs. I love dogs. A little bit allergic, but I love them. I have been nagging for my brother to get a schäferhund, but his life is really busy. He says he will get a dog when he gets kids. I tell him I will babysit ... the dog, not the kid :p
Do you like travelling alone?
Yes, I do, and I have. Travelling always makes me happy. I have never been on holiday by myself, but I had to explore the world on my own sometimes for various reasons. When I go to the US in January, I will be going all on me lonesome.
When travelling what kind of packer are you?
The type that brings way too much. Packing light requires planning. I use my brainbox as little as possible.
What was the last book that made you cry?
The saddest thing about me is that I don't cry :( I blame my upbringing. I think I have gotten more in touch with my emotions though, and I have always had a romantic bent. Let me think... I have mostly been reading these stupid science fiction books this semester and before that, I wrote my thesis on Zadie Smith. That is not exactly tear jerking material.

Miranda July really comes through to me on a human level. "It Was Romance" and "Mon Plasir" from the collection No One Belong Her More Than You are really sweet stories. Nine Lives by Ursula LeGuin is really sad, if you love sci fi. Pierre is Herman Melville's most underrated work, IMO. It is crazy stuff, but his ramblings can hit you where you live sometimes.

Most of the stuff I read is quite "cold", so I often go to BtVS for my emotional fix :p
Have you learnt to speak 'New Jersey'?
No :p Doubt, I will. I only speak Norweglisch.
If Willow came to you at the start of S4 and asked for advice, what would you tell her?
I'd tell her to be brave and trust in herself.
Should Willow have tried harder to un-rat Amy?
Why? :p
Is Willow gay or bi-sexual?
This little nut :p I like to think of her as bisexual. Willow struggled with her sexuality long before she began looking at girls. Thinking of her as exclusively lesbian kinda ruins New Moon Rising for me. Sexuality is not a stable thing. Gay (1999-present) is a bit silly, but she could come to find that she was happier being with women. The textual evidence is all over the place.

What is your favourite type of restaurant?
The Asian types. Indian, Thai and Chinese :D Big messy table and my fingers in everybody's bowls.
And your favourite meal?
Last time I ate out, I had duck in a honey-chili sauce (didn't know that was a thing) mixed with some seafood. That was pretty amazing!
If you were allowed two items on a desert island what would you take?
If I had me laptop and me wi-fi I could watch TV shows, read books, discuss them online and drink coconut juice for the rest of my life.
What are your best and worst qualities?
Good qualities: Non-judgemental and curious.

Bad qualities: Erratic, impulsive, rude, lazy, insensitive, cowardly, pathologically dishonest, disingenuous, tunnel visioned, ignorant, introvert and self-centred.
Favourite subject at school?
English and Norwegian. It is the same subject really, just in different languages :p
Have you ever had a reoccurring dream or nightmare?
I used to often dream about waiting for something really amazing to happen, but it never happens, so I become frustrated and impatient. Sometimes I dream about going to concerts or reuniting with old friends. They say that you lose your ability for language when you dream, but I can sometimes remember bits of conversations.

I used to sleepwalk a lot when i was a kid. That was scary. You sometimes reach this state of half conscious paranoia.

Have you ever lied about yourself on this board?
I am pretty sure I haven't. Have I made any claims that seem unlikely to you? :p
Which of your parents do you prefer and why?
I have gotten fairly close to my mother in the last few years. My dad and I don't have the best relationship. I have 29 years of history with these people, so it would take a while for me to explain why :p My mother is a very lovely woman. She has worked most of her life in the child protective services. I am very proud of her for that. She's quite the athlete, too.
Do you play a musical instrument?
No. Not sure if it was the lack of talent or the lack of patience.
What is your dream job?
I want to teach and write at a University. That is the most exciting job I can get with my skill set. What I really want to do is be a pop star, but as you see above, I can't play an instrument :p

Do you have any pets?
My grandparents had a collie that were born the year after me and my parents had two vorsterhunds when I was a little older that I took up and down the mountains and that I considered to be mine. I am not really suited to take care of a living creature and I have developed an allergy to dogs, so no pets atm or in the foreseeable future :(
Are you exited that as you move to jersey the “Jersey Show”’is coming back? (I know I am)
Can't say I am, as I have never seen it :p
What is your favorite meal?
Earlier, I said peking duck. Now I am saying pasta, because that is the kind of insane and unpredictable person I am. Spaghetti with eggs ... carbonara.
If you had to pick someone from Angel the Series to spend the day with, who would it be?
Ha! If this was BtVS, I would say all of them. I'd love to hang with Cordelia and Harmony. I could get drunk and philosophical with sad-Spike. Gunn seems all right. I think I would find Fred sweet but boring. I woudn't have much to say to Angel or Wesley.

Which Willow do you prefer; the nerd, the witch, the dark, the goddess, the vamp? Why?

If you could be a pop/rock star, who would you be most like?

Would you rather write important academic works or best selling fiction?

If Spike came to you in Lovers Walk and asked for advice (he isn't holding a broken bottle to your face) what would you tell him?

Which Willow do you prefer; the nerd, the witch, the dark, the goddess, the vamp? Why?
The witch, most definitely. The one who dares to be herself. The one who would do anything for her friends.
If you could be a pop/rock star, who would you be most like?
Poly Styrene meets John Lydon meets Morrisey meets Lou Reed with some heavy David Bowie influences.
Would you rather write important academic works or best selling fiction?
Fiction, definitely! Wouldn't anyone rather be a player than a bonified cheerleader? What do you say @TriBel ?
If Spike came to you in Lovers Walk and asked for advice (he isn't holding a broken bottle to your face) what would you tell him?
You're screwed, mate. You're gonna cause harm to yourself and those people you call friends. Nothin' to be done about it. Just keep singing 'em songs and remember that you're beautiful *hic!*
Who is your favorite poet ?
Hmmm! Shelley, I think. Or Rochester :p
What is your favorite poem ?
That is definitely To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell. I also really like On Beauty by Nick Laird.
What is it, you are going to miss most, when you are in New Jersey ?
I don't know. I've only lived where I am now since late August. I am planning to try my best to live in the moment, though I will probably miss my friends. That wouldn't be new, though.
What is typically norwegian ?
Looking at one's hands :p
Is Norwegian Wood the best or the worst Beatles song ever ?
It is very good, at least :D Have you heard the alternative version with more prominent vocals by Paul? Think it is on the Anthology albums.
What colour are your eyes?
Blue dabbi-dee dabbi-dah!
The jury is still out on that one.
Do you choose to enjoy an exciting night out or a quiet night in the most often?
A couple of years ago I used to party all the time. Then I started working all the time. At the moment, I don't seem to do much of anything. The socialising I have done lately have mostly been of the quiet kind. I had a proper night out when I went to see Gorillaz, though.
What colour suits you most?
I tend to favour darker colours as it makes my hair look brighter.
What is your favourite film?
I really like If... So in love with Malcolm MacDowell.
Do you have a loud sneeze?
Yes, and as I've said, I am allergic to dogs :p
If you won a lottery jackpot what would you want to buy first?
I wouldn't buy anything. I would take a sabbatical and try to have some fun.
What’s the last book you read?
The Dervish House by Ian MacDonald.
Do you prefer sweet or salty snacks?
Sweet, but I guess I eat salty snacks more often, because I drink.
Do you like roller coasters?
Yes! I've never backed down from a ride.
What’s your favorite clothing store to shop at?
I tend to get my essentials at H&M and most of my jeans are from Carlings, and I get the rest from wherever. I never been able to afford to shop very often. I am usually able to find some nice vintage shops when I am in the UK. Those are fun to shop at.

Mexican or Italian food?
All these food questions :p I usually keep a very boring diet. I don't think I have ever been to a Mexican themed restaurant but making tacos is very popular in Norway. I have no idea. Both tickle the tongue and fill the belly.
Chipotle or Taco Bell?
I've never been to either of them.
Would you visit any famous ruins? If so, which ones?
Sure. I have visited quite a few already. In Moby Dick, Melville talks a lot about the Elephanta caves. They sound insane. I want to see them.
Cruise to Hawaii or Alaska?
I cannot fathom why anyone would wanna take a cruise to Alaska. Hawaii it is! You paying?
Denali or Yellowstone?
Apparently, there is a fissure in Yellowstone that looks like Willow and squirts water. I need to see that.
Yes! I think I know his poems quite well, and I like the Telltale Heart. I haven't read any of his other stories, though. My old teacher hated him, said he wrote gibberish for angsty teens. I wrote this long piece on a online seminar where I accused my teacher of being old and boring. I think he was quite impressed by that. Also, on my oral exam that year, I made some daring connections between some of Thoreau's writing and that Poe poem with the weird name - Unnanameh? Ullalameh? Old man misses his girl, looks at the moon and remembers he is dead :p

But seriously, can you be into angsty vampire shows and not like Poe?
